fifiqueen Posted November 19, 2005 Posted November 19, 2005 Hello all, I just wanted to say a big thank you to those that supported my walk for Break through Breast Cancer. Over the weekend of 24th -25th September I walked 38 miles and didn't miss a step. I can truly say that I have been blessed by God through this wonderful experience. I came through with out a scratch nor a scar or even a sore muscle!!! On top of that in total so far I have raised £1,895 for Breast Cancer and I am thrilled. On Saturday 24th September 2100 people set out to walk for 38 miles (60km) to raise money for breast cancer, amongst us were women who had survived the disease and everybody was walking for somebody. It was an emotional experience one I will surely never forget. Over those two days I know that I made a difference no matter how small, I also realised how fortunate I was as many of those walking had lost loved ones , both young and old. Crossing the finish line was amazing and I can't beleive that my walking buddy and I Chantelle actually did it, especially since 5 weeks before she bruised her ankle bone and I thought that I might be pregnant!! God is so good, he blessed us through the experience and we live to tell the tale. I'm not sure what my 2006 challenge will be but I am hoping to raise money for Alzehiemer as many of you know my mother suffers with it. Whatever you do make a difference in someone elses life, today and God will bless you. To those of you who made a difference and helped to allow me to walk by donating money thank you so much. To Christine Wall who matched donations made by CA members... you are truly special! Thank you all once again Fifiqueen X X X X PS Here is a picture of Chantelle and I as we approached the finish line! What a load of tears!!
