In his latest Washington Times editorial, “A Brave New World of Intolerance,” the ever-erudite Robert Knight laments the recent decision of the Montgomery County School Board to eliminate all religiously themed holidays to avoid having to add Muslim holidays to the schedule. This incident might seem to be just another chip in the erosion of our Christian foundations, but I suggest it is the legal equivalent of “checkmate” by the secularists in their battle to eliminate Christianity from public life.

On another thread I was told I was misrepresenting the Muslim belief system when quoting from the Qu'ran chapter 4:89-91, even though it speaks to present beliefs in that community. To be fair, this is also a part of the Qu'ran that may very well be the deciding factor in the eternal destiny of those who hold that faith now.

The deciding factor for the everlasting covenant will only be determined successfully (if by success it is meant living in paradise without end, with the Creator) by acceptance of this principle of faith below.

You were told that you misrepresenting the Quran in your cited passage because you were doing that.  Islamic scholars clearly, as I stated, said that your cited passage was to be understood differently from how you understood it.

 

So, the issue on that passage is:  Do you know more accurately than Islamic scholars what the Quran teaches in your cited passage.

 

If you think that I am wrong, show me that I have misrepresented the Islamic scholars as to what that passage teaches.

In the first place I didn't say how I understood it so how could they say I understood it differently. If those conclusions reflect righteous thinking, they will receive a righteous reward. If they reflect the opposite of righteous thinking, it will be rewarded according to the spirit offering the counsel.

Pope Francis, in Rome after a three-day trip to Turkey, told reporters that non-Muslims shouldn’t be “enraged” at the larger Muslim community when acts of terrorism are committed in the name of Islam.

“You just can’t say that, just as you can’t say that all Christians are fundamentalists. We have our share of them (fundamentalists). All religions have these little groups,” he said, Reuters reported.
