What Do You Believe?

Do you believe Jesus is God because His body is the temple for the Holy Spirit?

The question was not whether or not Jesus is God.  They question was whether or not your belief in Jesus being God is founded on a belief that the body of Jesus was the Temple of the Holy Spirit.

IOW, the question was sort of a double trick question.

When Jesus was born He was the only begotten Son of God. Those that were born of God after Jesus, were begotten of God. True or false?

The Holy Ghost is God. The Holy Ghost is the Father of Jesus. Jesus is God because His Body is the temple of the Holy Ghost.

If Jesus is not God then He is a liar - John 14:9 - Jesus replied, “Don’t you even yet know who I am, Philip, even after all this time I have been with you? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father! So why are you asking to see him?"

GOD THE FATHER---GOD THE SON---GOD THE  HOLY  SPIRIT   are 3  individuals

each was present at  Creation--- GEN : 1 :1 -2-- 26--27--- at Baptism---MATHEW  : 3:  16-17--- MARK : 1:10 --11---

LUKE :  3: 22---JOHN : 1: 32--33--34--

I looked up all these verses. None of the verses say that God is three individuals.  In these verses It is implied that the Father and Jesus are individuals, but the Spirit is called the Spirit of God (the spirit belonging to God), not God the Spirit.

Genesis tells us that our ancestors, Adam and Eve, were made in the image of God.  And the scriptures tell us that each man has a spirit, but nobody tries to teach that the spirit of man is a separate individual from the man to whom that spirit belongs.  We are made in the image of God, and our spirits are not separate individuals from ourselves, so we should expect that the Spirit of God is also not a separate individual.

When we try to make the Spirit of God into a separate individual we end up with contradictions like this:

The Holy Ghost is God. The Holy Ghost is the Father of Jesus. Jesus is God because His Body is the temple of the Holy Ghost.

If the Holy Ghost is a separate individual from God the Father, then the Father would lose his fatherhood because the Scriptures do tell us that it was the Spirit of God that fathered Jesus.  Who then would the Father be the father of?

If we make the Spirit of God a separate individual from God the Father, we would end up with this:

  • God the not-the-father
  • God the Son
  • God the Spirit who is the father of the Son

Why do Christians emphasize the three-ness of God, when the Scriptures never speak of the three-ness, but only of the one-ness of God?
