David_McQueen Posted November 21, 2005 Posted November 21, 2005 Yes I know I have before, but this time it is more of a permanent fixture, so I can concentrate more on my own writing as part of my own ministry. Not only that but I realise my veering away from what most would consider a dye in the wool Adventist might not sit too well and personally as my walk becomes a bit more open and divergent from what my baptismal vows required of me, I dont want to upset the main ethos of this site, which is to promote the doctrines, etc of the Adventist Church. I just want to thank the many of you who have contributed greatly to the experience that is my spiritual growth over the last few years, and whilst we may differ on certain aspects the truth that is in Jesus is what makes me still feel great to be part of this family, even if moreso now in spirit than as a poster (body). I pray that this forum can continue to draw people closer to God, and embrace a deeper meaningful sense and purpose of why as Christians we believe what we believe. Please remember me (And my family) in your prayers as God takes hold in this next stage of the spiritual journey. Jesus knows. Quote Firstborn Ministries: Spoken and written word, without apology
Dr. Shane Posted November 22, 2005 Posted November 22, 2005 Well hopefully the Spirit will draw you back to us. I was just mentioning to Bravus the other day that I wish you were more active here like you had been in the past. I understand that your understanding of Scripture is not the same as many Adventists, but there are many here that disagree with Adventist doctrine. You have always been most respectful when voicing your difference. You have set an example that other desentors would do good to follow. You will be missed and should the Spirit draw you back, I am sure you will be welcomed. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity
Moderators Jeannieb43 Posted November 22, 2005 Moderators Posted November 22, 2005 David, you will be missed. I recall when I first started reading C/A, you were conducting a lively discussion on the subject of fruit smoothies (?) -- how to make them in a food blender, and the ingredients, including fresh fruit, ice cubes, yogurt, etc. It was the middle of summertime then, and all the smoothies sounded delicious! Also, your dear wife was the first person to send me a PM. I didn't realize such a thing existed, until one day that little flashing envelope showed up, and there was a message from FifiQueen! She said she enjoyed my posts. What a pleasant surprise it was for me. Don't be a stranger, now. And blessings on your ministry. Quote Jeannie

...Change is inevitable; growth is optional....
