Moderators lazarus Posted December 17, 2014 Moderators Posted December 17, 2014 I like Jeb Bush's demeanor and tone but there is no way he can be president, right? You can't have the last three Republican presidents all named Bush. That's crazy. I know the UK has a monarchy but this is ridiculous. The latter cannot understand it when a man does not thoughtlessly submit to hereditary prejudices but honestly and courageously uses his intelligence. Einstein

CoAspen Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 A republican in our state of CO just beat out a longstanding Democrat who had also followed in his fathers foot steps. In the closing months of the campaign the challenger had gone after his opponent for the very reason of being a 2nd generation and long standing member of congress. It will be interesting to see his position on an other Bush running for President....have a feeling he will be all smiles. Dime a dozen....public doesn't really care...like sheep! Quote
Aliensanctuary Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 It may not really matter who is elected president if they get told what to say and do. One can only wonder how recent issues such as gay marriage, illegals obtaining drivers licenses, ISIS, beheadings in the Mideast, blacks being shot by cops, Cuba, etc. would have played out with a Bush in office, or some other Republican. With Obama's apparent disregard for lawmakers, perhaps he will suspend the constitution, disband Congress, and make himself dictator for life. Gov. Bush may find himself behind bars for refusing to enforce Obama's new laws that would harm natural-born American citizens.
