It's no wonder the last free superpower in the world is going down the tube. This just reveals satan's last angry threshing around before he draws his final breath of free air.

2For you yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night. 3While they are saying, "Peace and safety!" then destruction will come upon them suddenly like labor pains upon a woman with child, and they will not escape. 4But you, brethren, are not in darkness, that the day would overtake you like a thief;…

Here are the winners of the "Ten Non-Commandments:"

1. Be open-minded and be willing to alter your beliefs with new evidence.
2. Strive to understand what is most likely to be true, not to believe what you wish to be true.
3. The scientific method is the most reliable way of understanding the natural world.
4. Every person has the right to control of their body.
5. God is not necessary to be a good person or to live a full and meaningful life.
6. Be mindful of the consequences of all your actions and recognize that you must take responsibility for them.
7. Treat others as you would want them to treat you, and can reasonably expect them to want to be treated. Think about their perspective.
8. We have the responsibility to consider others, including future generations
9. There is no one right way to live.
10. Leave the world a better place than you found it.

7Then there was war in heaven. Michael and his angels fought against the dragon and his angels. 8And the dragon lost the battle, and he and his angels were forced out of heaven. 9This great dragon—the ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, the one deceiving the whole world—was thrown down to the earth with all his angels.

17And the dragon was angry at the woman and declared war against the rest of her children—all who keep God’s commandments and maintain their testimony for Jesus....Rev 12

Why I’m for the War on Christmas
The battle, says Bill O’Reilly, has been won by his Fox News-watching, god-fearing side. Not only is he wrong—but the true patriots are the ones standing up for pluralism in America.

18Little children, it is the last hour. Just as you heard that an antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have appeared. This is how we know it is the last hour. 19They left us, but they were not part of us, for if they had been part of us, they would have stayed with us. Their leaving made it clear that none of them was really part of us.

20You have an anointing from the Holy One and know all things.f 21I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, but because you do know it and because lies don’t come from truth. 22Who is a liar but the person who denies that Jesus is the Messiah?g The person who denies the Father and the Son is an antichrist. 23No one who denies the Son has the Father. The person who acknowledges the Son also has the Father. 1 John 2

That whole chapter is highly enlightening. Do I, or does any one else measure up? I think this part of the chapter answers that question.

1My little children, I’m writing these things to you so that you might not sin. Yet if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father—Jesus, the Messiah,a one who is righteous. 2It is he who is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not for ours only, but also for the whole world’s. ...1 John 2

One only needs to believe Jesus and His promises to be able to breath a big sigh of relief.

.31They said, "Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household." ...Acts 16

There's even a firm promise for those who find their lack to be troublesome.

21“How long has this been happening?” Jesus asked the boy’s father.

He replied, “Since he was a little boy. 22The spirit often throws him into the fire or into water, trying to kill him. Have mercy on us and help us, if you can.”

23“What do you mean, ‘If I can’?” Jesus asked. “Anything is possible if a person believes.”

24The father instantly cried out, “I do believe, but help me overcome my unbelief!”

25When Jesus saw that the crowd of onlookers was growing, he rebuked the evilf spirit. “Listen, you spirit that makes this boy unable to hear and speak,” he said. “I command you to come out of this child and never enter him again!”

26Then the spirit screamed and threw the boy into another violent convulsion and left him. The boy appeared to be dead. A murmur ran through the crowd as people said, “He’s dead.” 27But Jesus took him by the hand and helped him to his feet, and he stood up.

28Afterward, when Jesus was alone in the house with his disciples, they asked him, “Why couldn’t we cast out that evil spirit?”

29Jesus replied, “This kind can be cast out only by prayer.g...Mark 9

Since Fox News and Dish have already been mentioned, maybe it won't be considered in bad taste to share just FYI.  Joseph Clayton, CEO of Dish is an avowed "Catholic Socialist", and supporter of "liberal" causes.  Michael White, CEO of Direct TV has been a supporter of Republican causes for many years.  You can google it for yourself.  Not that I believe either party gets us closer to the kingdom of Christ.  Far from it!  And the Catholics seem to have a strong influence on both media providers.  I think Dish may have shot themselves in the foot over this thing though.  No one was all that interested in the political leanings of their CEO until they dropped Fox over a money squabble.  Now - I think the conservatives may run to Direct and vs-vers.
