Beginning January 3, 2015, The Boulder Colorado Church will institute major changes in its Sabbath Services.  Changes will include the following:

1) The present two services will combine into one united group of worshipers.

2) The worship service will begin each Sabbath morning at 9:30 and end at 10:45.

3)  That Sabbath Schools will begin at 11:00 and end at Noon.

Well, good management is:

1) Define the problem.

2) Establish your objectives.

3) Formulate a potential solution.

4) Put it into action.

5)  Determine its success.

6) Make needed changes and adjustments.

7) Start the process again, until success is achieved.

CoAspen: The group of members who want the SS to be second is currently the group that attends the Church service first and the SS second--we currently have two worship services--one before SS and one after SS.

Yes, the same way we did it. Perhaps Bldr will be able to make it work!

Our church in Denver (different from CoAspen's church) used to have contemporary service, Sabbath School, followed by a traditional service.  The pastor that instigated the contemporary service was drummed out of the church by the "saints".  I quit going to that church after that, choosing a church plant with a more open-minded attitude.  The church plant eventually left the conference to avoid an unpleasant situation; and is now a Sabbath-keeping non-denominational church.  I haven't been back to that church for a Sabbath service in over 5 years; so I don't know what they're doing now.

We had our 1st changed service yesterday.  I believe that it went well.  If any of you would like to view it, as I have said in the past, the service can be viewed on the Internet.

Our church had sermon first for many years, primarily because it was so hard to close of the Sabbath School discussion for the sermon, when we ended with Sabbath School the discussion could go on longer if desired.  We had this successfully for years.

Then we started having so many coming to our church for the community lunch that were coming in before lunch started, so we moved the sermon to the last so they could  hear the sermon.  Then we put the sound for the service into the lunch room, that was a good move.  It was a tough change for some, but we seem to have all made it.
