bonnie Posted January 14, 2015 Posted January 14, 2015 Controversial 'white genocide' billboard pops up on freeway Jan 14th 2015 9:30A A controversial billboard along an Alabama interstate has heads turning and tempers flaring this week. The billboard reads "Diversity means chasing down the last white person" along with the hashtag #whitegenocide. It sits along I-59 in Springville, about 30 miles northeast of Birmingham. The company that controls the billboard, Dyar Outdoors, has so far refused to release the name of the organization or person who paid for the ad but employees say their phones have been ringing off the hook with angry complaints. The message, inflammatory according to some travelers, is only the second in the last year that has sparked controversy in the area. Last summer, a billboard with the phrase "anti-racist is a code word for anti-white" appeared nearby. That advertisement was eventually attributed to a group known as the League of the South, which is "a neo-Confederate group that advocates for a second Southern secession and a society dominated by 'European Americans,'" according to the Southern Poverty Law Center. The owner of the billboard won't reveal if the League of the South is responsible for this second billboard, but says he hopes to refund the money so he can take it down. It's not your parents, your past relationships, your job, the economy, the weather, an argument, or your age that is to blame. You and only you are responsible for every decision and choice you make, period ... ... Wish more people would realize this. Quotes by Susan Gottesman
Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted January 15, 2015 Members Posted January 15, 2015 it's a moot issue, as the sign was taken down today... http://www.al.com/news/birmingham/index.ssf/2015/01/white_genocide_billboard_taken.html Quote Pam Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup. If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony. Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?
LifeHiscost Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 Do you think the billboard should be allowed to stand or should be taken down? Tell us in the comments. I find it not unusual as it accentuates the reality of Revelation 12. 10Then I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren has been thrown down, he who accuses them before our God day and night. 11“And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even when faced with death. 12“For this reason, rejoice, O heavens and you who dwell in them. Woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, knowing that he has only a short time.”.....Revelation 12 God is Love! Jesus saves! Quote Lift Jesus up!!
Ted Oplinger Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 To me, I guess the more pertinent question should be: do people have the right to express such an opinion? Blessings, Quote "As iron sharpens iron, so also does one man sharpen another" - Proverbs 27:17 "The offense of the cross is that the cross is a confession of human frailty and sin and of inability to do any good thing. To take the cross of Christ means to depend solely on Him for everything, and this is the abasement of all human pride. Men love to fancy themselves independent. But let the cross be preached, let it be made known that in man dwells no good thing and that all must be received as a gift, and straightway someone is offended." Ellet J.
