Moderators lazarus Posted November 29, 2005 Moderators Posted November 29, 2005 Everyone tells me that I'm weird to want at least 2ft of snow every year. That would be heaven to me. Oh, by the way, will there be snow in heaven/new earth? Quote Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocrities. The latter cannot understand it when a man does not thoughtlessly submit to hereditary prejudices but honestly and courageously uses his intelligence. Einstein
Clio Posted November 29, 2005 Posted November 29, 2005 It's been snowing here since the last week in October, and we still only have a foot. We've been getting it an inch at a time. 'Course, it's also been -30 or colder for the last few days... and when it gets that cold, it's too cold to snow. It's gonna warm up around 44 degrees today from yesterday's low of -41 on my front porch. YAY! We plan on hauling fuel oil today and filling the front tank. I even had to get my car blanket out in addition to plugging it in. More snow would be good. Then I could heap some over my septic lines for extra insulation. Clio Quote A heart where He alone has first place.
Administrators Gail Posted November 29, 2005 Administrators Posted November 29, 2005 Been snowing all day today... Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
Moderators Bravus Posted November 29, 2005 Moderators Posted November 29, 2005 We've had a couple of small falls so far but they've melted away. Getting some today though - just a light dusting, but persistent enough to be staying around - and given that maxima around -10 C (14 F) are predicted all week, looks like it'll be staying around. We don't often get huge quantities in Edmonton, at least not the past few years, but we'll see what happens this winter. Quote Truth is important
Amelia Posted November 29, 2005 Author Posted November 29, 2005 Had snow up the gorge yesterday and today. Couldn'g make my store visit up there. I will have to try again next week. I told my boss that I dont have chains nor studs. So if the weather is bad, I dont go.
