That is very disappointing to hear. Fortunately I have not received such PMs, but can't help wonder - why? Why would someone on a Christian forum want to inject such negativity?

Stan, that's dreadful. I'm so sorry this is occuring. Perhaps a forum wide season of prayer for Abba's blessing and intervention would be a good thing?

From a set time to a set time perhaps?

Those who feel themselves to be powerless try to exert power by whatever means they have available... So praying for them to really feel and know the power of God makes a lot of sense to me.

Go Bravus! I have always said that mean people are hurting people who have not had the privilege of being shown unconditional love. As a result they are angry and lash out whenever they can, because life is not only unfair, it has become unbearable for them. We need to pray for them, that they will not only experience Jesus's love but that someone with "skin on them" can be their earthly friend as well...showing them unconditional love.

When we get angry and lash out at other people we are letting anger control us. Anger comes from Satan and I do not want Satan to control me. If I live by the fruits of the spirit I will never be mean to another person no matter how I may disagree. To state a fact is one thing, to go overboard and be deliberately mean is not the way that Christians should react. We may state that wrong is wrong but we never let it override into being personally unkind to anyone. Let the words of my mouth and the meditations of my heart be acceptable to God. I dare not die with unkind words upon my lips.

To Bravus, Taylor, Susie and everyone else who have expressed such heartfelt sentiments; Thank you. I wish I could bundle you up and spread your kindness around the world.

Stan,

I am sorry to hear that this is going on again. The Devil just can't seem to stay out of our little group.

While it's been sometime since I was the target of such hateful PM's ... and they also come to your personal emails ... it takes away some of the good feelings you have about our brothers & sisters. Unfortunately when you have been the target of mean people's pm and emails it makes you feel pretty rotten and question being a part of such a group.

So, FWIW, to the person who is being abused this time, try to discount it as much as possible. You are loved and respected and there are many supportive people who visit C/A

And to those who receive the poison, please, don't allow it into your heart, mind, and spirit.

We are all Children in the House of the King. We are not worthy, but Jesus made us worthy, each one. We are cherished, Abba Himself sings over us in delight. Who are we, to tear one another down?

"17 The Lord your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save; He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing." Zephaniah 3:17

He is in our midst, for two or more gather here in His name. He will save us, for He has sworn this by His name, and He cannot lie. He rejoices over us with gladness, with singing.

Can you imagine it? Can you hear the Voice of the Most High singing over His redeemed?

Who are we to do otherwise?

Trouble is, they don't seem to believe that they are indeed being mean...

Gail,

Don't know the circumstances this time but this I know to be true, "We never see ourselves as others see us."

Too bad, so sad ... that's why it will be so wonderful when we get off this old ball of mud.

It wouldn't work in all circumstances with all people, but what about publicly "outing" those responsible by naming them here in the open forum? (With the victim's permission).

I'm sure that their behavior is perpetuated by the knowledge that it is kept secret and most people are too tactful and polite to bring it out in the open.

Maybe we need to say something instead of hideing it.

If we say, "I feel.........when you say this........."

it can go a long way toward explaining our reaction and seeing where defensive emotions can come into play....and it can tone down the meanness....
