In a Sabbath School Class that  I attend, at the Boulder Church, the following verse was discussed today:

The fool believes every word read on the Internet.  But, the wise person checks it out with Snoops first.

If he checks with Snopes he is bound to get further ahead than checking with snoops. Unless the snoops are not also gossips.
