Secret Rapture! Why it's so important.

Without the secret rapture the Beast will be in the spot light. The Beast needs the secret rapture to hide and conceal it's identity. The Bible tells us that before Jesus comes back the Antichrist (man of sin, son of perdition) will be revealed. 

 

Notice how the day of Jesus' coming does not happen until the man of sin is revealed first.

 

2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.

The secret rapture says Jesus comes first, secretly, and then the man of sin is revealed followed by a seven year tribulation.

 

The Beast needs to promote and enforce the secret rapture otherwise it will not be able to deny God's perfect prophecies that point to the Vatican and the seat of the Papacy as the Beast kingdom of Revelation.

 

Jesus will come as a thief but not secretly. He will come as thief to those who are unaware of these truths that God has so graciously given to us. Listen. Notice how we will not be surprised by Jesus when He comes and also notice how those who are surprised will experience sudden destruction, not a seven year tribulation.

 

1 Thessalonians 5:2-5 For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night. For when they say, “Peace and safety!” then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape. But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief. You are all sons of light and sons of the day. We are not of the night nor of darkness. 

When Jesus comes, He is coming as a thief, suddenly, but not secretly. In that day the wicked will expericne destruction, not life for another seven years. Listen.

 

2 Peter 3:10-12 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt with fervent heat?

 

God is not willing that any should perish so believe God and accept His provision for sin which is found in His Son and allow the Spirit of God to direct and empower us in the ways of God.

There is one unusual phenomena that will likewise occur just before the Second Coming: solar eclipse by day coupled with a lunar eclipse at night.

 

Normally, solar and lunar eclipses cannot occur concurrently.

 

A solar eclipse can only occur on a new moon, when the moon lies directly between the sun and the earth blocking the view of the sun from the earth and with the shadow of the moon covering the earth; while a lunar eclipse can only occur on a full moon when the earth is between the sun and moon and the earth's shadow entirely envelopes the surface of the moon. On the average, there are around 14-1/2 days from new moon to full moon. This explains why the night following the 14th of the lunisolar calendar of the Jews is a full moon.

 

There was once a solar eclipse on the daytime following a full moon night but no lunar eclipse. This was when our Savior was crucified on March 28, 31 AD. But a solar and lunar eclipse occurring on the same day has never yet occurred.

Indeed, the Gospels speak of total darkness covering the land at Christ's crucifixion. Matthew, Mark, and Luke all record the event as lasting from "the sixth hour until the ninth" hour of the day. In our reckoning of time, that is from 12 noon until 3 in the afternoon.

 

I am aware of no solar eclipse where the totality (the point the sun is completely obscured from view behind the moon) lasts 3 hours. Normal totality in a solar eclipse lasts ~7-10 minutes, max. Even in ancient times, solar eclipses, and how long they last, were well known. If a solar eclipse - it had supernatural help...like the hand of God keeping the moon in place for 3 hours...or keeping the earth from rotating for that same period.

 

Such is not without Biblical precedent...to defeat the Amorites, Joshua prayed the sun not to go down...and it stayed high noon for a whole day (Joshua 10:12-13).

 

Of course, the passages do say "darkness covered the land", and not "darkness covered the sun"...so what God used to shield the sun away from shining is rather immaterial - to me, at least. I do know that however it was accomplished, it got the message across to the crowd that this was no ordinary event...they left the place of crucifixion beating their chests. In the Hebrew culture, this was a known action signalling recognized unworthiness before a greater rank. The publican of Luke 18 stood "afar off", and only prayed "God - be merciful to me, the sinner!"...while beating his chest.

I personally believe there will be another heavenly event before the time periods of Daniel and Revelation can come to pass perfectly.  I believe there will be a fly-by of a large object (asteroid?) which will pull the earth back into a 360 day orbit around the sun.  This will return the months to 30 days.  The 1260 days, 42 months, time-times-part, can only be fulfilled when the year is 360 days (not 365.25 days).

Listening to a program on astronomy yesterday, I heard, if I'm not mistaken, there is an eclipse of the sun foreseen in the very near future. Any one have information on that?

 

BTW, there is no biblical evidence of any rapture being secret, only unexpected.
