Scuba Posted February 12, 2015 Posted February 12, 2015 Matthew 24:37-39 But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. Let's see what people were like in the days of Noah. Genesis 6:5-6 Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. The word, evil, is a very interesting word because of the picture we've painted of what evil is. We think of evil a something ugly and scary. We think of evil as something so ungodly that we can spot it mile away. But evil is not like this. As a matter of fact, God tells us to exercise our senses o be able to discern between good and evil. Hebrew 5:14 But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil. This means that evil can be hard to identify. I believe in the last days many godless (not ungodly) things will be done under the banner of love. To discern between good and evil, godless vs ungodly we need spiritual discernment. Love will be used to disguise evil because love can be godless without looking ungodly. Godless love will move the world, even God's people, to call good evil and evil good. Love is a neutral force that can attach itself to anything. Love needs to be defined and controlled by God lest we find ourselves calling good evil and evil good. Romans 13:8-10 Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law. For the commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not bear false witness,” “You shall not covet,” and if there is any other commandment, are all summed up in this saying, namely, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law. Scuba Posted February 12, 2015 Author Posted February 12, 2015 Is this good or evil? Is this godless or ungodly? Is love being used to disguise evil? Luke 17:26-27 And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all. Scuba Posted February 17, 2015 Author Posted February 17, 2015 SCUBA this video disregards the old testament verses and tries to turn the new testament verses meaning to different meanings dgrimm60 That's exactly how Satan works. He takes what God has said and tweaks it to fit his plans to change God's times and law. Quote Sometimes our behavior needs time to catch up to our salvation...
