But, if this were to be implemented, what would prevent this from being used as a precedent at some future time to cut off others' access to the telecom ant the internet - say like Christians? Ultimately I believe many things will be used against us but God will protect us. Using technology to thwart them by limiting their power seems more humane to suggest than other methods . And I doubt those who choose to serve the living God in the face of persecution before Jesus comes will feel safe using cell phones on an ongoing basis to communicate. joeb Posted March 9, 2015 Posted March 9, 2015 Lazarus, About #4. Our borders are so porous, especially our southern one, that anyone and everyone can come across that border. It is a known way for terrorists to enter this country without fear of being caught. Obama, right now, is keeping the Border Patrol from actually doing their job and stopping people from crossing the border. He has ordered them to stop detaining anyone from crossing the border, which is absolute madness. As to the propoganda questions, ISIS gets more propoganda value out of showing they can do whatever they want without fear of us stopping them than they do from anything else. Why do they post all their atrocities online? Because it inspires the people they want to inspire and basically tells those people that the US is doing nothing to stop it. They are showing their power and that draws followers. Start showing the consequences for what they and for each and every depredation they commit and it may very well slow down the number of people joining them. At least it will show them that there are going to be consequences for what they want to do. Now there aren't any to speak of.... Sojourner Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 Personally I feel the time has come to permit the Kurds to stake out their own nation of Kurdistan, everyone wants the Kurds to be the ground troops, but for what goal? Having a Kurdish area in Iraq and Syria will likely provide an area that can be capably defended and potentially provide refugee areas. I put it to you, that is something Obama could in fact do to help turn around the situation. Another suggestion would be that Obama could take the side of Assad in Syria and work towards restoring the previous dictatorship situation which tends to quell the likes of ISIS in the arab world. Perhaps its not a politically correct option in light of what Assad is accused of. Yet it may stop the war in the Syrian territory and the constant slaughter. Siding with "the rebels" is no different to siding with Assad as both have commited atrocities. Quote
