If I have the code right, it should work that any jpeg etc you upload will automatically show in the post...

This should work for all users, both in flat mod, and threaded mode.

I am not sure if those who are not logged in can see them.

Please help me out and try and post them here..

Thanks

Stan

These pictures are BEAUTIFUL.

I especially like coming to the forum each day and finding a new, lovely photograph banner greeting me.

Thanks for all your work!

I am not techno expert, I do it with Adobe Photoshop following the simple instructions left my son <img src="/ubbtreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> But I am sure one of the experts here could give you great instructions - maybe Amelia <img src="/ubbtreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Neil - Here's "help" from someone who has no claim of expertise, but I'll take a stab at it:

One of your pulldown menus, if you have photo editing software, would have a "resize" option. Change the size to something that will fit in the forum post frame (I usually have my largest dimension about 7", but someone is welcome to tell me if that is or is not a good idea) and the resolution to 72.

Alternatively, you could try the "save for web" option, if you have it, and slide the bar from 100 to a lower number to reduce the resolution. You will be able to see onscreen how it affects the quality of your photo.

Alternatively again, if you are using Windows, look at the picture using Windows Picture viewer and click on the icon at the bottom that opens it for editing. Click on "image" and then "attributes" and change the dimensions. I see no way to change resolution this way, however.

In all cases, save your reduced photo under a different name, because you don't want to lose your original by saving the changes to that file name.

That's for starters. Maybe the real experts have a better suggestion.

I don't s'pose y'all noticed but that pic of the sunset I posted was one of Neils. And that was straight from the photo gallery. No resizing needed.
