I wish that Purim had been celebrated at church when I was a kid.  Maybe a potluck, with a children's play.   You know - with all the characters.

We could boo at Haman, and Awww at Esther, and horay!! for Mordecai.

Purim is next week, on the 4th and 5th.  It's a time traditionally - to send gifts of food items - for feasting.

I think it significant, in the story of Esther - that Haman's decree of annihilation is read out on Nissan 13.

Esther and her maidens fast over Passover, and Nissan 15, and she goes before the King on Nissan 16 - the same day as the Feast of First Fruits,

when Jesus went before His Father in Heaven, for His "sacrifice" to be accepted on behalf of His people - Israel.

Haman paid for the privilege of killing all the Jews.

Purim (with it's death decree) comes exactly one month before Passover.

The story COULD convey some details of the coming "death decree" which will be published against "the remnant" at the end of days.
