The ministry of atonement

The word "atonement" means "reconciliation".

 

    2 Corinthians 5:18 “Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation.”

    He has given us the ministry of atonement.  This should tell us that we are priests.

 

Only kings and priests were anointed with oil - which symbolized the Spirit.  The fact that believers are anointed with the Spirit, should tell us that we will be "kings and priests". 

 

1 Peter 2:5 "you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ."
