I heard this teaching that sounded interesting from Pastor John Hagee on Daystar, 

 

"Revelation 13:18 says 'here is wisdom, let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast for it is the number of man and the number is 666'. Now let me say this, the satanic trinity is Satan, the Anti Christ and the False Prophet. Just as is there is God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Three sixes, but six is the number of sin, Goliath of Gath was six cubits and a span he had six fingers and six toes. But the hebrew language gives us the positive id of the Anti Christ. In the hebrew language, every letter of the alphabet has a numerical value. so when you know the letters of the name of the anti Christ you calculate that, you count the numbers of the beast, and if it comes out 666 that's the guy".

The mark of the Beast is 666.

 

666 is "the number of a man"

 

A bar code or electronic numerical identifying number, of

six numbers - six numbers - six numbers

could be used to identify every man, woman, and child on this planet. 

 

I believe it will be a personal identification number - (sort of like the social security number) used in the United States,

but it will be a New World Order identification number.  You will not be able to "buy or sell" without it. 

 

It will be implanted or put on with a kind of permanent marker.

 

If your number is MARKED by the Beast power for punishment,

you will not be able to "buy or sell".

What if the New World Government decrees that the ONLY DAY on which you can get "paid" in electronic money, is on the Sabbath.

And you have to go to a special government place to get your "pay". 

 

THAT would tie the Sabbath and earning money - together. 

 

If you want to see what rationing is like, when your currency collapses, just look at Venezuela right now.

Rationing has been implemented, to prevent the cartels from buying up food and then selling it back to people at inflated prices.

 

A fingerprint ID system has been put in place at grocery store checkout stations, to prevent "food hording".

666 is only one identifying characteristic of the beast (nation) A far more prominent identifying characteristic is found elsewhere from the Word.

 

…3Let no one in any way deceive you, for it will not come unless the apostasy comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction, 4who opposes and exalts himself above every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, displaying himself as being God.....2 Thess 2

The beast (Rev 13:1) = the man of sin (2 Thes 2:3) = the vile person king (Dan 11:21) = the king of fierce countenance (Dan 8:23) = the little horn king (Dan 7:24, 25).

 

1. The beast derived his power from Satan and will make war against the Lamb.

2. The 2nd Coming cannot occur until the man of sin appears.

3. The exploits of the vile person king includes the taking away of the daily and his conquests will be until the 2nd Coming.

4. The king of fierce countenance will have a power not his own and will take away the daily.

5. The little horn king will be powerful until the 2nd Coming.

 

The image of the beast = the abomination of desolation (Matt 24:15; Dan 11:31; 12:11).

 

In Daniel the word "abomination" is from the Hebrew #WQvi (shiqquts) which elsewhere in the OT refers to idols or images worshipped by pagans (see 1 KIngs 11:5, 7; 2 Kings 23:13). In the whole Bible, there is only one image that will cause desolation to the end-time people of God: the image of the beast. See Rev 13:15

 

The Master Teacher tells us that the setting up of the abomination of desolation = image of the beast will trigger a rapid succession of events that will culminate in the 2nd Coming. See Matt 24:14-31.

So when John Hagee meantions Satan, the Anti-Christ and the False Prophet, it begs the question, does Scripture tell us who the Anti-Christ and the False Prophet are?

As to what their names are, there's nothing in Scriptures. But as regards their descriptions and the timing of their appearance in the world arena, Scriptures clearly tell us. One thing is biblically sure, though.  The beast and the false prophet are both human beings. Persons. NOT kingdoms.

Using Scripture as definition of "beast".

 

1In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon, Daniel had a dream, and visions passed through his mind as he was lying in bed. He wrote down the substance of his dream.

2Daniel said: “In my vision at night I looked, and there before me were the four winds of heaven churning up the great sea. 3Four great beasts, each different from the others, came up out of the sea.

The beast of Rev 13 is the little horn king of Dan 7, NOT the fourth beast. The fourth beast is a kingdom. The little horn is a king.

 

KJV Daniel 7:

7 After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns. 

 

8 I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.

 

23 Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces. 

 

24 And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.
