Using your own words (no Bible verses necessary) explain how you would teach the nature of God to someone wanting to understand.

Sorry, I have to go with the Bible:  "God is agape"

You don't have the why and how you believe in your heart and mind?

You ask a question, someone gives an answer and you disagree!!!! It seems to me from all of Roberts post, when he mentions that God is Agape, that that is the why and how he believes in his heart and mind. Seems pretty plain and simple to me!!!!! I might not agree with Robert on many issues, but I can tell from his posts, what he believes in.

Maybe I was misunderstood. My question was more regarding the issues of trinity, oneness, unitarianism and so on. Who do you explain what you believe?

God's agape was revealed on the cross through Christ Jesus our Lord.

The best description I've read is found here.  Please read it.  It's good:

I forgot to mention that this was not a debate thread its just a thread to share your thoughts on how you define the Godhead.

The word "God" carries with it TWO (2) connotations.

1. As Supreme Ruler of the whole Universe - past, present, future.

This is God the Father ALONE. He is the only One. Not Two nor Three.

2. As divine personalities, distinct and different from angels and humans.

To this connotation, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit all belong. The Son is quite special, because He is the God who manifested in human servant form, died, resurrected, and will live forever more.

If I may humbly add, it is quite simple - if asked - to show the Biblical basis of my position.

I suppose that will work if it can be made to fit with this.

15He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. 16For by Him all things were created, both in the heavens and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities-- all things have been created through Him and for Him. 17He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.…Col 1

No matter which view one holds there is a verse that can cause a problem. I guess the main thing is to get as close to being Scriptural as we can. Anytime I think of how one can completely understand the Godhead I'm always drawn to this verse...

Deuteronomy 29:29 “The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.

So there is one supreme being in the Godhead called, Father and He expresses Himself as Son and Holy Spirit? Is that what you mean? Just trying to understand.

Scriptures designate Him as the Father. His Hebrew name is hw"hoy>.  He is not and is different from the Son.  Both the Father and the Son are distinct from the Holy Spirit. I believe each one of the 3 exists DISTINCTIVELY from each other.

Would you say there was a time when the Father was alone?

Since the title, Father, is given to one who has children what do you think the title of God was prior to creating anything?

If God is Spirit and there is the Spirit of God does that mean there are two Spirits?

Sorry, but I have my own private reasons why I choose not to answer this kind of questions.

. . .

If God is Spirit and there is the Spirit of God does that mean there are two Spirits?

The Revelation of Jesus tells us God the Father has SEVEN (7) Spirits (Rev 1:4; 3:1; 4:5; 5:6). I won't add nor subtract in view of Rev 22:18,19.

48Blessed be the LORD, the God of Israel, From everlasting even to everlasting. And let all the people say, "Amen." Praise the LORD!....Psalms 106

29"My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand. 30"I and the Father are one."....John 10

17He brought this Good News of peace to you Gentiles who were far away from him, and peace to the Jews who were near. 18Now all of us can come to the Father through the same Holy Spirit because of what Christ has done for us.

19So now you Gentiles are no longer strangers and foreigners. You are citizens along with all of God’s holy people. You are members of God’s family. 20Together, we are his house, built on the foundation of the apostles and the prophets. And the cornerstone is Christ Jesus himself. 21We are carefully joined together in him, becoming a holy temple for the Lord. 22Through him you Gentiles are also being made part of this dwelling where God lives by his Spirit....

Prideful manipulation of SDA members here in this Forum is all I see from this Scuba Troll.

Shrewdly and  deviously he's been pushing your buttons to open up what he wishes to counteract.

As for being a like-minded SDA of heart-felt commitment, welllll, we see no evidence.

Stirring the pot of spices and herbs, he's brewing a special Troll mixture and giving it to drink to the readers. It's purpose is to cause doubt in the readers of SDA principles, teachings, dogma's and sly stabs at EllenW.

Why O Why are you readers feeding this Troll with back-comments?

He will only dry up and fly away if ignored.

A united front in deciding to boycot with silence might bring relief from this plague.

Every human being has a tendency to seek a supernatural  being to worship.  One can see this trait in every culture and society in this world.  Some culture believe in all kinds of gods and worship them.

We christians believe in one God, the creator of this universe.  Whether one wants to believe this creed or not, it is up to an individual.

28For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh. 29But he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that which is of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the letter; and his praise is not from men, but from God....Romans 2
