Very positive impression given by Canada’s SDA President Mark Johnston in the opening essay of Heart to Heart.

 

He describes the spiritual darkness all around us in ever part of this world.

 

But then he emphasises the effect of just lighting a candle where we are to help those around us and this light will multiply in mysterious ways.
 

Stan, it was of personal interest to me how you wrote about Canada’s literature evangelists.

I always wondered how they are doing there.

My husband got a sabbatical from his teaching job and worked 10 yrs as a Book Evangelist for SDA.

He went  back to teaching job now but is retired.
 

I was really pleasantly surprised when opening the page to announcements and reading the missing person column. It was just lovely to see how the three churches gave a list of members that don’t come anymore to the services while requesting  for current phone and address so the church can
contact them.
 

That’s the kind of caring outreach I like seeing being done.

 

All in all, your Canadian mag  gives a friendly uplifting view when flipping through the pages. Something is there for all ages and ethnic persons. Overall it is a well put together magazine for church purposes of which  I can’t find fault with.
Tell your staff from me that I appreciate their long work hours involved  to get it published.
