Moderators Gregory Matthews Posted March 27, 2015 Moderators Posted March 27, 2015 Did your know that the Federal election may place a Seventh-day Adventist in the White House--No, not Dr. Ben Carson? The person I am thinking about is a current Vice President of Goldman Sachs who has taken a leave of absence to participate in the electoral process. This person is a female. She is married to Presidential Candidate, Ted Cruz. See: http://atoday.org/first-adventist-in-the-white-house-might-be-a-woman.html Naomi and RudyEnext 2 Quote Gregory

stinsonmarri Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 Ted Cruz will never make it to the White House. It is not ELOHIM'S will. The two horned beast is acting out his course. I could say more about Ted Cruz but I will save it for later. Blessings and Happy Sabbath! Quote

stinsonmarri Posted March 28, 2015 Posted March 28, 2015 I would hope that anything someone has to say about Ted Cruz (and anyone else who enters the presidential race) will be factual and not based on some sort of bias, predilection towards one party or another, or on a personal conviction of what "God's will" might be... I never said anything bias toward Ted Cruz, however I personally do not care for his policies. If you want to say that someone is bias then Ted Cruz is all of that and more. I believe that people have a right to their views but they do not have a right to disrespect the President. Ted Cruz and the Tea Party had done just that and more. Ted's mother is a US citizen and so was President Obama and this birther mess was uncalled for. The President being the first Black man in office has been disrespected due to the color of his skin. However, when I was referring to ELOHIM'S will, that had to with the time and not Ted Cruz per se. The Bible say that just before YAHSHUA comes back that world would be like the days of Noah and Sodom. It also said that the two horned beast would become the false prophet and give homage to the beast that wound had healed! Adventist should know this! This country have never stood for ELOHIM at all! It was founded on lies, murder, slavery, rape, sexual orgies, Masons and so much more. That is what I was referring too and Ted Cruz is trying enforce against freedom of religion like many of the States. He is trying to take away gays, women, and voting rights which is not right. I do not agree with the act of homosexual nor oral sex, regular abortion because they go against the Law of ELOHIM. But is not the government or any religious person right to force their beliefs on the masses. These things are each individual person right to choose. Those who claim to know YAHSHUA should witness and not judge, love the sinner but hate the sin. Rudy, I notice you are in ex witch and I do not have the right to judge your former belief nor anyone should. I glad that you are not anymore and that you find YAHSHUA on you own or through someone else. We should do the same for others! Ted Cruz is not trying to do that and shutting down the government proved just that!!!!!!! Blessings and Happy Sabbath! Quote
Administrators Naomi Posted March 28, 2015 Administrators Posted March 28, 2015 Is it REALLY necessary to play the race card? Especially when our President is only half-black ... I believe that the criticism he has received has to do any issues other than skin color. Quote If your dreams are not big enough to scare you, they are not big enough for God
stinsonmarri Posted March 29, 2015 Posted March 29, 2015 Is it REALLY necessary to play the race card? Especially when our President is only half-black ... I believe that the criticism he has received has to do any issues other than skin color. I know that his mother is white, so is my great, great, great grandmother, but both of us do not look white. My sister married a white man and her daughter looks white so how can I play some race card. Matter fact what is the race card, I am of the human race and my ethnicity is Afrikan American black, with Irish, Scandinavian, English in my blood!!!! What makes me sick when white people tell us how we feel. You have tried to take everything decent and good about us away! My ancestors were brought here by force and in shackles, then was told that they were free. Escaped Jim Crows laws in the South, many rose up to be middle class for what? Have you ever been look at strangely in a store, or worry about your son being shot? Do you read your Bible, YAHSHUA people were brown and black. But all you see on TV and in the movie is white people in Egypt, the Philistines, Canaanites, who all came from Ham. The Semitic people also was not white, but brown. I am a Biblical Historian and I can show you how you make everything white, even a white lie vs a black one, ridiculous!!! Because the Bible said Sarah was fair, that also mean white and that is not true. So tell me Naomi, who is playing the so call race card????? I know that if it wasn't for good white people, who gave their life for my ancestors, things would be even different for me. It does not changed the fact that racism is alive, have you heard the frat house song? I would not dislike Tom Cruz if he didn't show how he feels about me and the President. I do not agree with his policies, but he has a right to them. But what he does not have the right is to pretend he love THE MOST HIGH, when he hates his brother! Yes we all are related by Adam and Eve and it is sad when people related to Tom Cruz can't remain here because they want a piece of the pie! What crime did they break, they want to live in the same land that whites took from the Indians and the Mexicans. Who are you or I because I did not ask to be here. The Mexicans and the Indians got a lone and shared North and Central America. I also don't like anyone who tries to force his belief on the masses. I am a realist and I want to be save and I have a right to be upset about how I have been treated in this country along with those of my color. If we are what we claim to be here, then we should be able to discuss it openly and honestly, that what make me upset. Why we tell what you all do, then is it some race card stuff. I can provide you with many things he have said about the President that no other white President has ever heard before. Naomi have you ever read the book "Black like me," I suggest you read it, because a real bonifide white man did it and he's dead now, last name is Griffin. He became blind after doing what he did. He realize that being black is exactly how we said it was in this country. I respect him for what he did, and he told the story. If we as Adventist do not deal with this situation and discuss it openly, how on earth can we be saved! Blessings! Quote

Administrators Naomi Posted March 29, 2015 Administrators Posted March 29, 2015 Secondly, for more than 20 years I travelled extensively for business ... most of the time alone. I can give you hundreds of accounts of insults I encountered as a "white" woman wanting to buy gas from what turned out to be a black owned service station ,,,,,,, or attempting to locate where Walmart's garden center kept their garden-hoes when I asked a could of black employees where they were located. The list goes on and on ..... In all cases I did the graceful thing and just walked away thanking them for their information. Your race suffered many atrocities ... so did my race, Jews and Scotch-Irish. Personally I worked 50-70 hours a week in difficult situations to support my children, but didn't suffer what my ancestors suffered. How about you????? At the same time my lady, I employed close to 500 people and hired many black people ... invited many who lived in the area to my home etc. It's not that I am so great, or do anything that many others have done ... nor do I expect anything from it ... what I do expect is for others to put away their racism (because it exist on both sides) and learn to deal with issues based upon the facts. Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted March 29, 2015 Members Posted March 29, 2015 I think it would be very interesting to have an Adventist 1st Lady in the White House. fccool Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 The comments following the article in Atoday were unbelievable. Are SDA Christians that paranoid and nasty...everywhere.... or are they just the very vocal minority? Nah, the issue is the traditional expectations that are cast on people as a preference of the "type of people" who would head GS, or run for office. I'd say that I'm also a bit cynical in that regard, although I don't claim to be correct about it. Being a VP of a financial firm like GS is a moral compromise in itself IMO, especially when it comes to the financial manipulations that were orchestrated prior and immediately post 2008, sucking taxpayers cash and rewarding the financial gambling of these runaway financial giants. My issue is not with her being SDA, but that firms like GS tend to embed and recycle their own at the high level of government, creating ENORMOUS conflict of interest, especially when these people retire from the government positions and head right back to their "mothership" Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that everyone in that position is "evil"... I just find such practices highly morally questionable. Quote
Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted March 30, 2015 Members Posted March 30, 2015 however, unless someone here has "inside knowledge" of how Heidi Cruz conducts her work or practices her religious convictions, is it very fair to her to make "guilty by association" innuendos? Moderators Gregory Matthews Posted March 30, 2015 Author Moderators Posted March 30, 2015 Stinsonmarri asked: . . . how can I play some race card. The answer to your question: Read post # 8, in this thread. That post is a classic response that could be used in a college class teaching people how to do it. Naomi 1 Quote Gregory

Blessings Shall I give you a bonus cookie or clap for you for what you have done!!!!! The problem you have you just do not see at all! Here is race, you and I are of the same race human and you are your brother's keeper madam. Are you no different from me when a black person is not kind but how does that measure up to being lynch because one person thanks he is superior over the other due to skin color. What so funny you all want to be my color or you wouldn't try to burn you skin by any means necessary and its a shame. Those Germans who think that they are Hebrews are not but took on their belief and yes the Hebrews fate. Remember: And answering, all the people said, let His blood be on us and on our children. Mat 27:25 This hurt but it is the facts and they crucified YAHSHUA! You cannot compare what Hitler did to slavery both were wrong but one was stopped. Racism is still happening today. Cops are shooting down innocent black male every day it seems. Recently a black man was deliberately run over. No respect for our first Black President and yet we want to hail a white Adventist woman to be in the White house, give me a break! Until we realize that we all are of one kind human and show it. Did you pray for those blacks that were not kind or what was really on your mind???? They are just as wrong for being unkind to you as Cain was to his brother! Right is right and wrong is wrong but not comparing what Hitler did to what all Indo-Europeans did the Afrikan people. I saw what he did and I cried because it was humane but it could never, yes never measure up to taking people from their land, taking over their land, and selling them like animals. Even President Washington, Jefferson, Adams and others all did this and had slaves. Let's be real if Tom Cruz's wife was correct, she should have changed her husband'a heart. He is full of hate and lies and she is no different. I am surprise that this topic is of importance. But here it is a split in the Adventist church some are Republicans and others are Democrats, why is that! Shouldn't we be on one accord, but we are not talk about that card!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh, I have Irish blood to and you don't want to me talk about their bigotry right! Blessings! Quote
