Many things are being done under the banner of love but love is a neutral force that can attach itself to something good or evil. There are other feelings that the world might define as love; but they are false forms of love. Any form of love that emphasizes "self" (e.g., "he/she makes me feel so good"; "I'm always so happy around so-and-so") may be a false love inspired by lust or self-centeredness. True unconditional godly love (agape) puts the desires and happiness of the other person ahaead of that of self. True love is a constant choice; not just a sporatic good feeling While I agree that our standard should be the Word rather than our feelings, I doubt many of us have the self-discipline to be totally detached from our feelings. aka 1 Quote
