Scott smith, 58 YO, of Boulder, Colorado is one of the more than 230 people who have filed the paperwork with the Federal Election Commission that officially makes then a candidate for U.S. President and to accept funds.  Scott acknowledges that his campaign is a long chance, but he wants to run.  He states that he is  more fiscally conservative than either Ted Cruz or Jeb Bush and more liberal than Hillary Clinton.  According to his platform, he would eliminate the Federal Income Tax and replace it with a tax every time money transferred.

Among the people who have filed the required paperwork with the FEC is Sydneys Voluptous Buttocks--yes, that is what I said.

For more on the candidates and requirements to file with the FEC, see:

http://www.npr.org/blogs/itsallpolitics/2015/04/03/397110609/this-guy-is-running-for-president-and-so-are-more-than-200-others

This process is a 2-step process.  First one files with the FEC to become a candidate.  Second, one files an additional document if one expects to raise more than $$5,000 in campaign funds.  For a listing of some 200+ people who have filed that 2nd document see:

If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony.

Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?

Pam, you think that they should inhale helium, before speaking!  I will suggest that they should inhale nitrous oxide.    :)  :)  :)

That would change the whole nature of the debate.  :)

How about giving each debater a canister of ammonium sulfide to blast away at each other---last man standing, wins the debate. (Think septic tank gas-off).

Or how about a lying contest where the biggest liar wins the nomination? (Well, maybe this is more of a Democratic Party strength, but we shouldn't ignore the Republican Party candidates. Sooner or later they're all going to have to develop their lying skills.)

"Jimmy Carter Is Correct that the U.S. Is No Longer a Democracy"

This statement implies that once-upon-a-time the US was a "democracy". It never was. Mr Carter should try reading about how presidential nominations were secured in the 19th century. Today's process, while far from ideal, it still better than what preceded.

Actually both parties are very good at it, no developing needed!!
