Stan Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 My day job, a fascinating story about a man's incredible journey... as a bonus, both Daniel and his wife are First Nation. www.adventist.ca/3dissue/messenger/84-5/index.html LifeHiscost 1 Quote If you receive benefit to being here please help out with expenses. https://www.paypal.me/clubadventist Administrator of a few websites like https://adventistdating.com
aka Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 The article of Gina and Daniel Guiboche story was good reading. The story was well put together to make the flow of thoughts pleasing to the mind. It's always helpful to have stories that we can identify with as church members. Human interest stories show how others go through the same life's sorrows and joys as we do, no matter of what race or geo-location they are. Actually I found it very interesting to see they are the only native Canadian of 'first nation' status working in the ministry. phkrause 1 Quote
aka Posted May 1, 2015 Posted May 1, 2015 Just to add.... the kids page of creation corner in the Adventist Messenger magazine did a very clever write up on hell fire and how it is wrongly taught. Yes, approaching children's minds with right bible teaching is a delicate matter. All must be understandable when presenting it on their level. BTW... on page 13 is pictured an adorable real cutie for a little boy. I'd love to have a SS class with him in it :-) Also is a gorgeous small toddler shown on page 45. So healthy looking. May God bless and guide them both as they grow in knowledge of Him. I read Stan's editorial at the back of the mag. The plug for more stories to get published from the lives of Adventists is very good goal to pursue. Quote
