Moderators Gregory Matthews Posted May 5, 2015 Moderators Posted May 5, 2015 (edited) Probably every school child knows the story of Paul Revere, also called a son of Liberty, the man who rode the horse to Lexington Mass., in 1775, warning the people that the British were coming. While this story is well known, few probably know that Paul Revere was court-martialed, in 1782 for cowardice and un-soldier-like behavior related to an incident that happened in 1779. See: http://www.history.com/news/the-court-martial-of-paul-revere If that surprises you, you will likely be more surprised by the name of the Lt. Col. who insisted that Paul Revere be court-martialed. Edited May 5, 2015 by Gregory Matthews Quote Gregory
Members phkrause Posted May 7, 2015 Members Posted May 7, 2015 We once took a tour in Boston and there was mention of some of this. Can't recall most of it, but just some of it. Pretty interesting, thanks for posting Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2
