CoAspen Posted May 9, 2015 Posted May 9, 2015 Interesting viewpoint. Might just be that I have never meet a 'real SDA'!! Tis a good thing that churches don't have a list, set by those within the .org, to enter the doors and pay their monies. Can you imagine what would happen to the GC if such did take place? Might not exist any longer for lack of funds. My suspicion is that being a 'real SD' is different for more people than the GC might want to think about. I just might be called a 'cultural SDA'. Quote

If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony. Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?
JoeMo Posted May 10, 2015 Posted May 10, 2015 Loved the article. I agree to let people freely worship in our churches and be "Adventists"; and let God - not the Conference or GC - sort who is in or out of the heavenly body of Christ. In one church I belonged to, some of the informal leaders weren't even on the books of the church; simply because the membership recognized their spiritual gifts. Jeannieb43 1 Quote
Administrators Tom Wetmore Posted May 11, 2015 Administrators Posted May 11, 2015 Seems rather close to the "No true Scotsman" logical fallacy... Quote "Absurdity reigns and confusion makes it look good." "Sinless perfection is such a shallow goal." "I love God only as much as the person I love the least." *Forgiveness is always good news. And that is the gospel truth. (And finally, the ideas expressed above are solely my person views and not that of any organization with which I am associated.)
