8thdaypriest Posted May 16, 2015 Posted May 16, 2015 I was very disappointed by the way Magan Kelly seemed to mock the Baptist minister last evening. I realize that he made the "What's wrong with America" about sexual practices, but Magan could simply have changed the subject to how Americans "treat each other with less courtesy", or have "less respect for police". The minister was listing sexual "sins" as the "what's wrong with America". Magan giggled, then said she had "done that". As if to say, that CAN'T be what's wrong with America, cause I did that, and I'm just fine - happily married now and devoted Mom of three. The Bible is not ambiguous concerning those sexual practices which "God" regards as "sin". To dismiss those standards is to reveal oneself as a moral liberal. Magan Kelly is a ROLE MODEL for America's young women, and this comment/giggle will have wide effect. Moral conservatives will likely move to O'Reilly or Hannity, if they haven't already. Morally conservative candidates may avoid her, lest they loose audience. The political left is jumping with glee. Oh well. Better it happened now, than later in the campaign. I also believe, though, that as Jesus looks at America there are many, many sins and issues he'd rank as much more important as 'what's wrong with America'.
