Ayn Rand wrote Atlas Shrugged, among other books. The movie based on the book was interesting.

She doesn't believe in a morality based on Judeo Christianity. She also is challenging the concept of altruism. She thinks self sacrifice is wrong "because it makes man a sacrificial animal." She holds man should have self esteem and that this implies not being altruistic. Her viewpoint seems antithetical to Christianity, as Mike Wallace brings out. She sees human intellect as the standard for morality. That will not get us where we need to be as people or for eternity.
