Moderators Gregory Matthews Posted May 19, 2015 Moderators Posted May 19, 2015 So, here we have an article that tells us that ASI, an independent Adventist organization, donated money and equipment to an organization of the St. Mary Parish. How many of you reading that article thought that these items were donated to a Roman Catholic church, probably Holy Trinity Church? Well, St. Mary's Parish is a geographic area that is similar to what is most often known in the U.S as a county. [NOTE: In LA the term parish is used, rather than county.] The organization that received the gift of equipment and funds is a part of the government organization known as the Ministry of Labor and Social Security. I would not have had a problem if the gifts had been made to Holy Trinity Church. I am only posting to set the record straight on the assumption that some people who read the article might have been confused. Quote Gregory
