B/W Photodude Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 I might say this is true when you walk around an ABC looking at all the different titles available. Many are relevant and many ... why were they even written? Obviously, to some they may be relevant, but I suspicion more than one didn't need to be written. I heard a story of someone recently who wrote a book and it sold well and was well received. However, it seems the author of the book didn't even believe what he wrote! Guess he knew what would sell. Outta Here Posted May 25, 2015 Posted May 25, 2015 Could it be that no one is asking the pastors or the lay leadership the questions they really want answered? Kevin H 1 Quote
Administrators Naomi Posted May 25, 2015 Administrators Posted May 25, 2015 It's not that our people don't need to understand the deep-in-dept " words of the Bible" or that they lack the intellectual ability to understand the deep meanings. But most of the people I visit with need the messages which help them in their daily walk. Not just to start day with prayer and meditation, but HOW is this important? HOw is it going to help me get through the day? What good does it do me? How can I make it to Heaven when I have difficulties getting through the day? It is a current trend to dig deeper, to discover new meaning, etc. IMHO, it is important to teach and preach the message in a practical day-to-day message. If it can't help us in our daily life it really doesn't matter if we can fully explain the 2300 day prophecy. Moderators lazarus Posted May 27, 2015 Moderators Posted May 27, 2015 (edited) Does this mean that our leaders are making our organization irrelevant to the very people we are here to serve? Edited May 27, 2015 by lazarus Quote Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocrities. The latter cannot understand it when a man does not thoughtlessly submit to hereditary prejudices but honestly and courageously uses his intelligence. Einstein
