Former President of West Indies College now Northern Caribbean University (NCU), Dr. Sydney O. Beaumont, OD, headed a list of 26 educators who were honoured on May 9, 2007, by the Government of Jamaica. The award took place during the annual ceremony for the presentation of the Prime Minister’s Medal of Appreciation for Service to Education held at Jamaica House, Kingston.
