I think the key part is 'in 2005': I'm realistic enough to know I'm not gonna achieve *all* my goals in one year, but I think I accomplished a decent year-worth. Missed out on a couple of big grants that I'd applied for, but got a couple of smaller ones, made Associate Professor, taught some good courses to students who enjoyed and appreciated them, got a great job in a great city, learned more about life, love and God and continued to love and enjoy my family... that's enough to keep me satisfied.

I voted 'yes' even though I have never ever accomplished ALL my goals. However, I accomplished the major ones, the primary one being to draw closer to God; another being to still function as a recognizable semblance of myself. The piddly little objectives (e.g. abolish gophers from the garden, paint the mailbox, attempt to make chocolate lava cake) aren't so important.

An ancient Chinese curse says "May you live in interesting times."

I have had a very interesting year.

Hope the next one is... more interesting in all the good ways, and much, much less interesting in the bad ones! Big hugs for Graeme.

Interestingly enough, it appears that 78% of appear to feel that we didn't accomplish all that we had wanted.

I started some things that I had intended to do, I suppose that should account for something. Accomplished somethings I had not planned.

And, learned to trust God more than in the past.

As Graeme said, it was most definitely an "interesting" year. We are indeed living in Interesting Times.

I always want to do more than is even possible. However, I did accomplish a lot of things I wanted to do this year such as being involved in 4 evangelistic campaigns. That was such a blessing and a great adventure! There is nothing like seeing God work in the tangible ways!

But there are a lot of plans I have for next year as well. I love life and can't wait to see what next year brings!
