bonnie Posted July 18, 2015 Author Posted July 18, 2015 Baby Jace is slowly improving. Breathing issues seem to have been resolved. He is out of IC. He still has a ways to go with eating and awake times. He just doesn't seem to be able to wake up as much as they need him to. bonnie Posted July 19, 2015 Author Posted July 19, 2015 (edited) Reaction to the anaesthetic? I pray that all will continue to improve Not sure. In terms of surgery this is relatively simple and usually requires only an overnight stay. There is definite improvement but they are still not happy with his awake times and he is barely eating as of earlier today. He just seems so tiny. It is scary for all of us but mama was holding him when he coded, needless to say she barely takes her eyes off of him Edited July 19, 2015 by bonnie Quote Everything you do is based on the choices you make. bonnie Posted July 21, 2015 Author Posted July 21, 2015 Sharing a note from my granddaughter on facebook. What a wonderful organization So as everyone is probably aware, Jace and I have been staying at the Minneapolis Children's hospital since Thursday. Because of the nature of his complications following surgery we've been welcomed into the Ronald McDonald house. For those that don't know what that is, it is an organization that helps families who have loved ones in critical or long term care in the hospital. They have games for kids, tv and computers, bedrooms to nap in or stay in, showers/laundry, and a fully stocked kitchen that we can prepare our own food with for free every day. They also serve a freshly made meal every day that is run by volunteers! It has been so helpful for us this past week and I just want to bring to everyone's attention that they could use more volunteers! Any day of the week. The hospital itself is also always looking for donations of new or gently used clothing for their little ones. I've already seen another baby here in the PICU wearing one of Jace's old outfits. smile emoticon Naomi 1 Quote Everything you do is based on the choices you make.
