Should you stop lying?

Great article this week in Australian Mens Health Magazine on Polygraph testing and a discussion on the pro's and cons of lying. 

In the article they go on to speak with a psychotherapist by the name of Brad Blanton who is the founder of US based "Radical Honesty Group"

Brad Blanton goes on to suggest that "the trouble that comes from telling the truth is better than the trouble that comes from lying"

So.. Could you do that, - tell the truth all the time, no white lies or half truths to make other people happy to to protect someones feelings? I have to admit that its a hard challenge for me, yet I do acknowledge that there are few things I like less than discovering someone has been lying to me over some thing. Perhaps its fair enough that I then commit to not doing it to other people?

Just heard on NPR this morning about a website for those that want to cheat on there spouses, etc. This website got hacked and now all the lies and secrets that these people have been hiding from there so called loved ones are out there. I guess there lies are going to be made public!!

A boy was asked by his Sabbath school teacher to recite a Bible text about lying:

he replied "Lying, a very pleasant help in time of trouble,"

Don't be to surprised if that rendition of the Scriptures is more common than one might imagine.
