Scuba Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 (edited) Truth? Truth is based on fact. Fact is based on evidence. Evidence is based on facts that indicate if something is true. Creation? Truth...God created us and everything. Why? Because of the fact that we, and everything else, are here. There is more evidence to prove the fact of creation than there is that we came from pond scum and everything just happened. Test the facts and weigh the evidence. In other words…Test all things; hold fast to what is good. 1 Thessalonians 5:21 It’s just that simple… The evidence in creation bears witness to the facts and testify to what is true. Romans 1:20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse. Things in creation give evidence and bear witness to the truth. Genesis 2:3 Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made. The seven day week with the seventh day being special is more important than you think. What happens to nations that deny the truth found in creation? They believe the lie. Romans 1:24-32 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them. What we see going on in the world today is the fruit of people who are denying the truth and believing the lie. They are not believing A lie, they are believing THE lie. The lie is, "There is no Creator God". Everything we see going on in the world today is the fruit of that. DreamWeaver Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 I came to this conclusion too after studying the link between a lot of the ideologies being thrown at us today alongside the mindset and behavior that is the product of those ways of thinking. I like your OP, Scuba. Scuba 1 Quote

Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?

pnattmbtc Posted July 29, 2015 Posted July 29, 2015 The lie is, "There is no Creator God". Everything we see going on in the world today is the fruit of that. There are many who believe in a Creator God, but one who is unlike Jesus Christ. DreamWeaver 1 Quote Christ exalted the character of God, attributing to him the praise, and giving to him the credit, of the whole purpose of his own mission on earth,--to set men right through the revelation of God.
