hch Posted July 24, 2015 Posted July 24, 2015 Have you heard the deafening silence of indifference? That knowledge which has been desired has been given. But the hearers say not that it is truth. Nor are their voices heard urging the youth to seek to learn truth and to follow the truth. The prophecy has declared that Benedict would not be pope after the spring of 2013 and it has come to pass. But is it assumed that the prophecy is in error because it was not fulfilled as some have taught? Or that God's prophecies are not important enough to bother with if they do not fit into our paradigm?Do Bible teachers study the Bible to see what it says or do they try to force the Scripture to comply with their understanding? Here is a coincidence or perhaps a mystery:“judgment must begin at the house of God,” 1Peter 4:17Judgment was dispensed on the House of God in the 19th year of King Nebuchadnezzar on the 10th day of the 5th month on the Hebrew Calendar (cf Jeremiah 52:12). Thus the first and Second Temples were both destroyed on the day that we now call July 27, 2015. (next Monday). Likewise twice the Jews became captives: of the Babylonians and the Romans, on July 27 BC & AD. Now America annually declares Captive Nations Week to raise public awareness of oppressed nations under the control of non-democratic governments. On the last day of Captive Nations Week 19-years ago (27 July 1996), a horrible bombing took place in Atlanta, GA. Richard Jewell found a bomb and warned people to flea from the area. The bomb exploded, 1 person died from the blast, a second man died from a heart attack, and 111 were injured. Richard Jewell was then accused by the FBI of planting the bomb and attempting to become a hero by warning people away. Mr. Jewell was cleared of the false charges in October 1996 (shortly after the 23 September 1996 Day of Atonement).Since then the Supreme Court of America has set up an abomination that declares that the opinion of the judges (5 to 4) is superior to the will of God. The Supreme Court has declared that the will of the court has more authority than the will of the people of Americans who have repeatedly voted that a man's union with another man is not marriage. The court has stated that a man must be allowed to marry a man in spite of God's clear warning that it is an abomination that is punishable by death to both men. And the Supreme Court's ruling compels American Christians to permit this sin and to accommodate it in their business practices. Thus the people of America have become a Captive Nation to the whims of unelected judges that have imposed their will (that is in opposition to the will of God) on the people of God who reside in America."I, BARACK OBAMA, President of the United States of America, do hereby proclaim July 19 through July 25, 2015, as Captive Nations Week. I call upon the people of the United States to reaffirm our deep ties to all governments and people committed to freedom, dignity, and opportunity for all."Did you notice that America's Captive Nations Week ends 2-days before God historically pronounced Judgment on the House of God in BC & AD? Did you notice that 19 years ago there was an American tragedy on that day?Do you understand the next great event that Daniel cites to declare the nearness of Christ's Coming?Dan 11:30 "For the ships of Chittim [Iran - as I understand the prophecy] shall come against him [King of the North - Obama - as I understand the prophecy]: therefore he [Obama] shall be grieved, and return, and have indignation against the holy covenant [Sunday Law implementation - as I understand the prophecy]: so shall he do; he shall even return, and have intelligence with them that forsake the holy covenant." Return from where? Or return to fight against Iran as the US has fought with Iraq and Afghanistan?Friday 24 July 2015 President Obama arrives in KenyaPresident Obama is scheduled to travel to Ethiopia later Sunday 26 July 2015.Dan 11:43 "But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt: and the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps." [Did you notice that in 2011 the dictators in Egypt, Libya, and Ethiopia were all removed from office in that sequence?]President Obama is scheduled to travel back to America Tuesday 28 July 2015. [the day after 27 July 2015.]This should cause us to watch and pray since we do not always completely understand Bible prophecy before the fact. If Daniel and Revelation should explain themselves by there fulfillment in such an unexpected fulfillment we would be caught totally unprepared. Some will react: More sensationalism! But is it sensationalism to wonder what God meant when He predicted something in His word. If the prophecy is not fulfilled on 27 July 20015 does that mean that it will not be fulfilled a month or two or three thereafter? God has an appointed time to fulfill His will. Do we watch to see where we are in Bible Prophecy? Or do we get chafed when someone wonders aloud "how is everything coming together?" Or do we refuse to consider that things are being fulfilled outside of our preconceived notions? The Jews had that problem when Christ, their Messiah, came in a way that was different to what they expected. God forbid that such a history should repeat itself in the Remnant Church. But we are described as being Laodicean: self satisfied with our prophetic understanding and in need of nothing. What God has ordained will be at the TIME that He sets forth in His counsels. But will we be ready or overcome with surprise? Christian Regards, Quote His child Henry Bible student/Author https://www.loudcry101.com
Samie Posted July 25, 2015 Posted July 25, 2015 . . . Do you understand the next great event that Daniel cites to declare the nearness of Christ's Coming?Dan 11:30 "For the ships of Chittim [Iran - as I understand the prophecy] shall come against him [King of the North - Obama - as I understand the prophecy]: therefore he [Obama] shall be grieved, and return, and have indignation against the holy covenant [Sunday Law implementation - as I understand the prophecy]: so shall he do; he shall even return, and have intelligence with them that forsake the holy covenant." . . . I personally believe that Dan 11:16-45 is yet to be fulfilled shortly before Jesus comes again... The king who will fulfill the events in Dan 11:30 - 45 is the same king referred to in Dan 11:21-15. This king is still alive at the Second Coming. He is the first beast of Rev 13 whose image is the abomination of desolation the setting up of which will trigger the great tribulation, at the end of which unusual celestial phenomena take place and will be capped by the Second Coming. Members phkrause Posted July 25, 2015 Members Posted July 25, 2015 Sorry but the day of Tisha B'Av is on the 25th of July. This year it will be on Shabbat, which is right now, not 2 days from now!! Here Straight from the Jewish website: Av 9 In 423 BCE, the first Holy Temple was destroyed by fire, as Nebuchadnezzar's Babylonian troops conquered Jerusalem. Also on this day, the second Temple was destroyed by the Romans in 70 CE. Tisha B'Av has long been a day of calamity for the Jewish people: On this day, during the time of Moses, Jews in the desert accepted the slanderous report of the spies, resulting in the decree postponing entry into the Land of Israel. Other grave misfortunes throughout Jewish history occurred on the Ninth of Av: The Spanish Inquisition culminated with the expulsion of Jews from Spain on Tisha B'Av in 1492. World War I broke out on the eve of Tisha B'Av in 1914 when Germany declared war on Russia; German resentment from the war set the stage for the Holocaust. On the eve of Tisha B'Av 1942, the mass deportation began of Jews from the Warsaw Ghetto, en route to Treblinka. Today, Tisha B'Av is the Jewish national day of mourning, when we don't eat, drink or bathe. Lights in the synagogue are dimmed, and we read the Book of Lamentations, Jeremiah's poetic lament over the destruction of Jerusalem. hch Posted July 25, 2015 Author Posted July 25, 2015 Sorry but the day of Tisha B'Av is on the 25th of July. This year it will be on Shabbat, which is right now, not 2 days from now!! Thank you for the clarification. So the last day of captive Nations Week this year aligns with the anniversary of the two times that the Temple was destroyed on this date in ancient Israel. I hope it is just a coincidence rather than an omen. When Bible prophecy is studied we can sometimes be spot on, other times a close call, and other times no where near. But when prophecy is fulfilled, then we can know if we are even in the ball park. I'm watching for the event: Iran attacks America's Fleet (probably aircraft carriers) followed by Mr. Obama turning against the covenant (National Sunday Laws, etc.). I suspect that the timing will be before Pope Francis comes to the USA to speak to the UN this fall. But I'll have to keep watching and studying and praying and urging others to do likewise. hch Posted July 25, 2015 Author Posted July 25, 2015 So, ... who actually pulled all this info together and made these opinions? Opinions? No; more like Questions and wondering aloud. Checking all the facts no matter where they lead. That would be me, the only SDA alive who tweeted 8 times during the 14 months before Pope Benedict retired that Benedict would not be pope after the Spring 2013. I got that insight from my intensive study of Daniel and Revelation. "God does not put things in Bible prophecy that are not important." Should the Laodiceans see the significance of Bible prophecy fulfilled, they would flee from their complacent self-sufficiency and finish the work to the glory of God. And if anyone should be tempted to think that if the war with Iran does not start today, that it won't start in the near future, I would remind you of the Adventist movement in 1843. They did not get everything right. And they were wrong again in 1844. But when they understood what 1844 was really about, it was too late for the nay-sayers that had lost confidence in Bible study and turned from following the Lord. I got that insight from my intensive study of Daniel and Revelation. That's cool. I think many people form impressions about what the future will bring. Can't say I haven't done that myself a few times. I don't usually tell many people, but just enjoy seeing if it really happens or not. Sometimes yes, sometimes no. For instance, I was quite certain and had no doubts for several years before the death of JPII, that Ratzinger would follow him. I had followed somewhat the career of Ratzinger when he was prefect of The Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith (Latin: Congregatio pro Doctrina Fidei, C.D.F.) formerly known as the Supreme Sacred Congregation of the Roman and Universal Inquisition. Others have had strange dreams that seem to have come true such as the dream about the future black president with big ears who would become a dictator. I think sometimes people do get private views of the future and strangely enough, right before they leave this life. I think it will be interesting to see how many people in heaven had end of life visions and dreams of Jesus, heaven, and the future before they died. Kinda like God is saying, "Go to sleep, these things will happen, and I will be back for you." However, I prefer that substantial prophetic interpretation for the church come from groups of serious Bible students pouring over Scripture with serious prayer and being guided to a conclusion. hch Posted August 5, 2015 Author Posted August 5, 2015 It would have been funny if this thread got no response. But not surprising. Laodicea thinks that she does not need anything. We have the Bible, the Sabbath, the Spirit of prophecy and self-confidence that will trump them all. So if anything disturbs our comfort zone, ignore it like a bad dream and then get aroused by an unexpected surprise that we should have prepared for. Christian Regar “These are the most exciting days to be alive in the history of the Church,” said VOM field worker Jonathan. “What we’re seeing around the world is really a gospel wildfire,” he said. “We're seeing the gospel go forward like never before in the history of the church.” One of the five keys to the gospel’s unparalleled movement is persecution, which Jonathan says is the “accelerant” for the wildfire. The church is persecuted, but it is thriving and expanding in the world’s most dangerous places. Came back to see if I had missed much on this forum. I just found your quote above. Did you mean to say that you found that other folks had specifically predicted that Pope Benedict would not be pope in 2013? Moderators Gregory Matthews Posted February 27, 2016 Moderators Posted February 27, 2016 Yes, that is what I meant to say. As to who, I really have not kept track. I have in the back of my mind that one of the people was a person who teaches that he gets his information directly from God and his posts are so inspired and those who reject them are headed for damnation. But, perhaps, my memory is faulty? Quote Gregory

But, perhaps, my memory is faulty? Gregory, Thanks for answering so promptly. I have not encountered anyone else that predicted that Benedict would not be pope in 2013 other than myself. If such a person should exist I would certainly like to compare notes with them. And I have not been shy about trying to get the message out by posting it in multiple places. But I certainly hope that I never came across as having had visions or revelations from God when in fact all of my views are based on Bible study. And I certainly hope that I never came across as preaching hell fire on those who reject my views. It has always been a concern of mine that the last church identified in God's word is being deceived to believe that it is in need of nothing as if the Laodicean message is not directed to those in the Laodicean condition. It is like everybody who reads the message to the Laodiceans might be able to see it in others but they are saying "Thank God that is not me!" But of course the question posed by the thread: Indifference's Deafening Silence? was intended to probe if there is an attitude of indifference perhaps "as it was in the days of Noah"? If things that should rock our boat are treated like water on a ducks back, is that reason reason to become concerned? But the sleeping saints might hear an overzealous watchman more like Peter and the wolf than as one sounding a valid warning. I just keep studying. And finding more things that no one wants to hear. Now as the preponderance of the evidence mounts, the balance scale is so heavy on the one side that a seismic shift is not to far off.
