I read that article today on the REVIEW website. I am attempting to get the following message posted as a response to that article: Let us not forget that behind every person in ministry, there is likely to be a spouse. He is a very polite person whom I have a deep respect for, regardless of our differences on some issues. I spoke with Danny Shelton once during the GC Session this year. Administrators Naomi Posted August 8, 2015 Administrators Posted August 8, 2015 It is my understanding that Jim Gilley is retiring. He ha had a long and productive life while serving our Lord. One can assume that a man as dynamic as Ps. Gilley will continue to be active in other directions. I have a high regard for the work that Danny Shelton has done through the years. Yes, there were bumps in the road and yes, Linda was a viable part of the early years. There are three sides to every story, especially in a marriage/divorce situation. Thankfully our Lord is the only one that truly knows the details. .. When all is said and done, I respect Danny for hanging in there and continuing with the work which the Lord has blessed. Many people now know the Lord due to 3ABN ... it has grown and gained capacity to reach many people who otherwise would not have heard the message. Many people know exactly where I personally am on this issue. but, I see no need to extensively relive the past. The intent of my posts in this thread has simply been to provide current information. God was in the voting and decisions made at G Conference and it is easy to be prejudiced for various reasons. I Do not consider it inappropriate to post something about any of them. That is why I posted a link to the REVIEW article about Danny becoming the President of 3-ABN and his planned mission to London. I intend to do the same about Linda, when I have something that I think would fit. I believe that shortly there will be a book available that some may want to read. If so, I will post a notice of its availability. But, I will not allow this thread to be used to open old wounds on either side. And, there is much that I will not post that I may be aware of. Danny, Linda, 3-ABN are part of the past history and present family of Adventism. To the extent that it is appropriate, it is fine to post news related to current events. phkrause and M. F.
