JoeMo Posted August 10, 2015 Posted August 10, 2015 I just want to give a shout out to The One Project in general, and the Boulder Church (host of the Gathering) specifically for the amazing blessing I received from them this weekend. I would also like to thank brother Gregory Matthews for his wonderful hospitality. He sort of took me under his wing and introduced me around to the "who's who" of The One Project and some of the VIP guests. Gregory is even more wonderful in person than he is on CA. Usually, when I get stoked about a religious conference or event, the reality is not near as awesome as the anticipation. Not so with The One Project Gathering. I was expecting good; but this was great! The format of the conference - a short reflection on a specific passage in scripture (this time all were related to Jesus' relationships with specific people); followed by "small group" discussions on how these examples of Jesus' relationships could apply to our own relationships. I am "revived"; and my faith in Adventism has been renewed. I'm not talking about every specific doctrine of the denomination; but the evidence of the Spirit opening His heart to us. JoeMo Posted August 10, 2015 Author Posted August 10, 2015 One of the most impressive things (to me at least) was how Jesus - centric it was without compromising any of what I understand to be the basic tenets of Adventism - very balanced. It opened my eyes to many things. One of the most significant spiritual "happenings" in the past several years of my life. Quote
