Dr. Shane Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 Gingrich: Ban Fundraising in Washington D.C. bevin Posted January 6, 2006 Posted January 6, 2006 Now Abramoff has admitted his guilt, it will be interesting to see how far the rot has actually spread in this administration. Looks like no-bid contracts to Halliburton was just the tip of a very large iceberg. Strange that two people who publically declare themselves Christian - Bush and Abramoff - are so deeply involved in this situation. Abramoff for driving it, and Bush for failing to stop it. I used to write "Bush is in charge - let the looting continue". Looks like the Justice Dept and the Press might be doing their job at restraining this Imperial Presidency. /Bevin Quote
Dr. Shane Posted January 6, 2006 Author Posted January 6, 2006 I think this is more about Congress than President Bush. However I recognize that the anti-Bush forces want to make everything about Bush. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity
Dr. Shane Posted January 8, 2006 Author Posted January 8, 2006 http://www.breitbart.com/news/2006/01/07/D8EVVPUO0.html Quote: Embattled Rep. Tom DeLay decided Saturday to give up his post as House majority leader, clearing the way for new leadership elections among Republicans eager to shed the taint of scandal, two officials said. Quote: DeLay acted hours after a small vanguard of Republicans circulated a petition calling for leadership elections and citing DeLay's legal problems as well as his long ties to Abramoff.
