Gus Foster Posted August 25, 2015 Posted August 25, 2015 There seems to be some confusion or possibly misconceptions on the importance of prophecy and its methods of use and interpretation. Except for a few of the ‘early fathers’ endeavors to the contrary, there was only one method, and historical method called historicism. This all changed when the counter-reformation evolved in the middle 16th century. There are so many excellent sources-- http://aloha.net/~mikesch/antichrist.htm -- http://historicist.info/articles/historicism.htm -- http://gospel-herald.com/futurism_history.htm Anyone can argue and dance around any mulberry bush; but facts can only be distorted to those who do not study and read their Scripture, knowing full well that the book of Revelation is no longer a mystery, and to a large extent, the unfolding, unveiling of the closed book of Daniel and the disclosure of fulfilled prophecies and of present day scenarios fulfilling those prophecies. -- http://www.futurist-futurism.com/ -- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Protestant_Reformation -- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Protestant_Reformers https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Counter-Reformation -- including a good explanation of the Council of Trent; a precursor to Vatican 2- If you do not choose Wikipedia -- http://www.theopedia.com/protestant-reformation -- Watch the History Channel video-- http://www.history.com/topics/reformation How it all started directly after Christ’s heavenly ascension and into the 2nd century- http://www.spurgeon.org/~phil/fathers.htm - literally hundreds of ‘Fathers’ – The issue was eternal life – one’s salvation – not just prophetic interpretation methods -- http://christianityinview.com/protestant/reformers.html The conclusion is really quite simple and obvious—if your method of Biblical prophetic interpretation is not historical, it was created, founded and now perpetrated by protestants who have accepted the Jesuit creation of preterism/futurism in the 1500’s to counter the reformers in their attempts to get back to Scripture, not only as an understanding of things to come, but the only method of eternal life, salvation through the gospel, the life, death, resurrection, ascension and present heavenly sanctuary ministry of Jesus, our Christ, our righteousness by faith. To add or subtract to that in any way through any method, rite or tradition is vividly and wholly rejected by God through his Scripture. Quote Striving for a better relationship with Him! Gus Foster
