JoeMo Posted August 29, 2015 Posted August 29, 2015 Overall, it was a pretty good message. Like any message I hear, I put it through my personal filters and "eat the meat and spit out the bones". I liked that the message focused on taking refuge in Christ; but some of it sounded like it was motivating people by fear of destruction rather than the love and kindness of Jesus. I may have missed something; because I didn't watch the last 10 minutes of the sermon. GayatfootofCross 1 Quote
thepeopleoftheword Posted September 1, 2015 Author Posted September 1, 2015 thanks bro, I totally agree and encourage you to watch the last 10 mins. I think it is important to understand both the sickness and the cure. Sin is our sickness and Christ alone is our cure. we are encouraged by the Bible to flee from the wrath that is to come. It does not hide the danger we are in without Christ, so for a sermon to be balanced we must be aware of our current situation and be able to examine where we are and see our need for Jesus and the salvation He provides. Please keep me in your prayers that God will help me present His message in a balanced manner. JoeMo 1 Quote
