Outta Here Posted September 28, 2015 Posted September 28, 2015 Well I'm on vacation in Florida...we got nothing too. My kids at home said it was so cloudy they couldn't even see where the moon was supposed to be. Question: If the apocalypse comes on a cloudy night, will anybody notice? Quote
Administrators Tom Wetmore Posted September 28, 2015 Administrators Posted September 28, 2015 Too cloudy here to have seen any of it... Quote "Absurdity reigns and confusion makes it look good." Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted September 28, 2015 Author Members Posted September 28, 2015 a lot more spectacular than what I saw last night -- I was rather "underwhelmed" by the event.. Quote Pam Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup. If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony. Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?
Administrators Gail Posted September 28, 2015 Administrators Posted September 28, 2015 We went to the airport and let the dogs sniff out bunnies and had a GREAT view of it! Here it was visible around 8 pm. Liz 1 Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
LifeHiscost Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 This supermoon occurs at the beginning of Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles). Tomorrow is Elul 29 - the end of a Sabbatical Year. Monday is Rosh Hashanah; the beginning of the Jewish New Year after a Shemitah Year. The previous 3 occurrences of this event has initiated the earth-shaking events of the stock market crash of Sept. 1994, the Trade Tower attacks in 2001, and the Great Recession in 2008. Jewish Festivals are God's appointed times. Is it just a coincidence that Jewish tradition calls the 10 days between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur the "Days of Awe"? Please don't take these signs lightly. When you see a highway sign that says "High Wind Ahead", it doesn't mean that there is actually high wind; but it alerts you to an increased possibility. I think this supermoon at the end of a Sabbatical year, combined with the pope's visit, combined with the instability of the global economy, combined with the military tension in the Middle East and Ukraine, combined with the massive refugee crisis in Europe combined with so many of God's appointed times occurring in the upcoming months, we should be on heightened alert rather than laughing them off. I'm not saying anything will happen; but I am on "heightened alert" until the end of Sukkot. God is Love! Jesus saves! Quote Lift Jesus up!!
hch Posted September 29, 2015 Posted September 29, 2015 I have no problem with having discussions of those sorts and how they fit into prophecy. We are living in the last days of this earth. I think its when we go overboard, that puts many people on the looney bin watchlist!! What is a Blood Moon? http://www.timeanddate.com/eclipse/blood-moon.html So since these have taken place in the past, people get skeptical!! IMHO Discussion is healthy. Speculation no so much. Members phkrause Posted September 29, 2015 Members Posted September 29, 2015 Question: If the apocalypse comes on a cloudy night, will anybody notice? Good question. When Jesus comes the Bible tells us everyone will see him. So no problem there! As far as this, if it were suppose be a end or something to do with a prophecy, I believe it would've been a clear night for all to see. So obviously no prophecy, at least not for me.
