Photodude: you said: It is a bit disingenuous to accuse one side or the other of not even studying the issue.

Not straightforward or candid; giving a false appearance of frankness is the meaning of "disingenuous."  These are some pretty heavy accusations to fire out at people who disagree with you on an internet forum. Sounds like very emotional accusations to me rather than based on facts.

Well, Wanderer, glad you got your dictionary NAZI outfit on. So my use of "disingenuous" was not totally accurate in meaning. It wasn't really necessary to go there.

I am finding the people on this forum to be quite the opposite. Even most of the ones who disagree with me on something. It is simply honest people, thoughtfully disagreeing with something.

I have a bit of a problem with this statement. And it leads me to think you do not even read all the posts in the thread before you answered mine. And it seems that you think that since I do not agree with your beliefs that I do not thoughtfully disagree with something. And FWIW, there are no emotions in my response, other than sadness that people so frequently display discourteous attitudes to people that they have a difference of opinion with.

I do work very hard to be polite in my discussion responses and choose polite words. So, maybe I miss one sometimes, but I won't be going over your posts with a fine tooth comb to find someway to trash you.

I don't go about calling other peoples posts "spam," which I note that you have done. And if you had read carefully the post I was responding to you might have noticed such terms as:

1.dishonest
2.obscures what this issue really is about
3.a cheap way to dismiss the supporters of WO without even bothering looking into their arguments
4.invoke typical stereotypes
5.It's mudslinging, nothing more.

Quite a number of insults for one post! However, I have not seen you take this person to task for the posters use of such terms for another C/A poster. You are not being fair in your responses.

It was mentioned something of the character of those who are opposed to WO. Gail asked,  "I don't mean to accuse anyone of having a satanic spirit, but why are folks so emotional about this subject in particular?" So, when you go to all the name calling and trashing of others posts with the listed terms, who might be displaying a Satanic spirit? Could it be

{ { { { { { { { Satan } } } } } } } } }?!

[For those of you who remember Dana Carvey's "Church Lady"!]

Just a point of education, "nazi" is a frequently used internet term for those who have a need to correct other people's language and/or spelling.

Grammar, Spelling Nazis should just get over themselves

Language is a way to communicate an idea, if someone doesn't use proper grammar, english, or spelling yet they communicate their idea clearly enough for someone to understand it is it really necessary to nit pick the little things?

People use spelling and grammar to judge a persons intelligence yet language is a very flexible and fluid thing, using something as petty as spelling and grammar to judge a persons intelligence is just as prejudice as using someones color of skin, religion or sports team preference.
