Foolish OR dangerous prayers

Have you ever offered a prayer that in retrospect was foolish or dangerous?  Example?

Hmmm I can't think of any but I would conclude that if we did pray anything potentially dangerous God probably would not answer that prayer in a way the would harm us. Now, I'll say that adding in, "whatever is thy will be done" (or some variation) might be perceived as "dangerous" but only to our finite reasoning and human desires. As God's will may not be our own and we may not like it even though it's for the best. But back to your question, no I don't think I've ever prayed a dangerous prayer. Interesting question though. Have you?

.  One of Aesop’s fables tells how a herdsman who had lost a calf out of his grounds sent to seek it everywhere, but not finding it resorted himself to prayer. "Great Jupiter," said he, "if thou wilt show me the thief that has stolen my calf I will sacrifice a kid to thee." The prayer was scarcely uttered when the thief stood before him — it was a lion. The poor herdsman was terrified, and his discovery drove him again to prayer. "I have not forgotten my vow, O Jupiter," he said, "but now that thou hast shown me the thief, I will make the kid a bull if thou wilt take him away again." The moral of the fable is that the fulfilment of our wishes might often prove our ruin. Our ignorance often betrays us into errors which would be fatal if our prayers were granted. It is in kindness to us that they are refused.

I was probably 12 yo when it became popular in my village to tease our hair to make it look curly.  After doing this repeatedly, it occurred to me  to pray to God to make it permanent!  And it didn't!
