bonnie Posted October 21, 2015 Posted October 21, 2015 lol, here is an example of activist sentiments regarding Columbus. I am not so sure that this reflects the real story. Columbus was a product of his time. Most any other explorer or conquerer if you prefer would have done the same. Had America not been discovered any progress towards what we have today would have been a lot longer in coming Quote Everything you do is based on the choices you make. It's not your parents, your past relationships, your job, the economy, the weather, an argument, or your age that is to blame. You and only you are responsible for every decision and choice you make, period ... ... Wish more people would realize this. Quotes by Susan Gottesman
Aliensanctuary Posted October 22, 2015 Posted October 22, 2015 Maybe what we think of today as "progress" isn't really. Moderators lazarus Posted October 22, 2015 Moderators Posted October 22, 2015 (edited) Rape, theft and genocide are not products of a particular time. They have been seen in every age. These kinds of evil acts are a part of the quest for riches and power. Unfortunately, people still celebrate evil men. I think the Russians still celebrate Stalin's birthday, right? Edited October 22, 2015 by lazarus phkrause 1 Quote Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocrities. The latter cannot understand it when a man does not thoughtlessly submit to hereditary prejudices but honestly and courageously uses his intelligence. Einstein
