What bible verse are you currently reading?

I know we all have our own favorites, but I was wondering which verse are you currently reading/studying or has really spoken to you?

My current is Isaiah 28:10. I was suprised when I heard it, it sounded like poetry.

"For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept,

Line upon line, line upon line,

Here a little, there a little."

Sid, not to derail your thread on the second post, but it is interesting how many people misinterpret the intent of that particular verse you cited. Read it again, and continue down through verse 13. The key to the actual meaning here is in verse 13.

I'm going to spend some time this weekend playing "catch up" on the reading chart Stan referenced in the thread entitled "Rabbi Cohen". So after I post this I will be curling up with Romans chapters 1-4.

I believe that the book of Isaiah is a collection of poems which were composed mostly by the prophet. Some poems were written by desciples and some believe that some were written years after Isaiah.

The NIV says

"For it is:

Do and do, do and do,

rule on rule, rule on rule;

a little here, a little there."

Yes, it is an interesting verse. I believe that One has to read the verses prior to and continuing through the chapter to get the full meaning.

Oh! Hrmm. Question, is G-d speaking to them like that because they refused to listen? Or does G-d speak to them like that, and yet they still refuse to listen?

The New Living Translation says in Isaiah 28:13:

So the LORD will spell out his message for them again, repeating it over and over, a line at a time, in very simple words. Yet they will stumble over this simple, straightforward message. They will be injured, trapped, and captured.
