Whom did Nebuchadnezzar say he saw?

Here's what the Servant of the Lord had to say about the Babylonian king's bewildered remark on seeing Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego alive and unhurt in the furnace:

I read the article, and agree with the author, and you, too, if you agree also.

It's not difficult to see that a Messenger from YHVH was sent to Daniel's three friends to protect them from the intense flames by surrounding them with a force field, one might suppose. While some Messengers seem to be more human-like, others tend to contain glowing metallic elements with brilliant light emanating from the head. Christ actually did not exist before NT times, I believe, rather, it was the Father who said much later, using Christ's voice, that "Before Abraham was, I AM".

Some may think that EGW is the infallible prophet of God, which is exactly what her PR team wanted, but it's better to focus on the Scriptures rather than misguided human interpretations. I suppose that it is not critical whether or not to believe that the Son of Man or someone else rescued the three worthies from incineration in a rather large crematorium.

And who would that PR team be?????? Doug Batchelor, Steve Wohlberg, Steven Bour(sp), Mark Finely, Neal Wilson, Dwight Nelson, Ken Cox, Shawn Boonstra, the late Ron Halverson, etc., etc., etc.!!!! She didn't need a PR team!!!!! And by the way I don't believe she was infallible, I just have respect, and great faith in those that God has called to be his messengers!

Yes, I have read the link.  Like Tom, I find it interesting.  I also find it to  have some thoughts that are worth considering.

As to Aliensanctuary:  I certainly agree with your statement that we should focus on scripture rather than misguided human interpretations.  But, I will point out that the previous paragraph contains much that is of  human interpretation and not based upon clear statements of Scripture.

Thanks for reading, Gregory. It occurred to me just from reading the KJV that it was most unlikely that Nebuchadnezzar was referring to Jesus. It was in the course of writing the piece that I looked up the other versions.

I believe that God the Father BEGET a Son long before that Son incarnated into human flesh.  That Son became the agent of His Father - in creation, mediation, and redemption. 

Nebuchadnezzar said he saw "a son of the gods" - a glorious being.  I don't believe that the king recognized the very "Messiah" expected by the Jews.  I'm sure he just thought the Being was their god.

You may or may not have noticed the term "the Pen of Inspiration" in the original post. It's refreshing to see the absence of any of those familiar designations on this forum.
