A friend shared a video discussing a friend of hers who is suffering from cancer. I believe representatives from this lifestyle center came to a church that I visited one Sabbath while I was there. Four thousand dollars is in reality not much. I know the Lord can provide, if it is His will. Please pray that if it is His will, He will provide the funds needed, or that He will heal Myrtle, or that if it is not His will to heal her, that He will at least ease her pain, or use it to draw her closer to Him, and that whatever happens, even if it is not what we want, that we will accept His will. May His will be done, whatever it is. I know He can heal her. I know He can provide. He is able, and He is good. Whatever His decision is, is the right decision.

If you can find it in your heart to give to a stranger, will you please donate something, too? Even a little bit, a few dollars here and there from many people can add up to a lot, so even if you feel like you cannot give enough, if everyone who might feel that way gave what little they could, I believe they can reach their goal.

www.gofundme.com/ttg24aac Here is their fund raising page on Gofundme.

If you help, and even if you cannot help, please share this link with others. Share it on your facebook, google, twitter, wherever. Share it publicly so that many can see it. I am sure we can raise the funds if it is God's will. I know He can provide.

She needs the funds by January 11, which is my birthday, and it would be a wonderful birthday present for me to see all the funds provided. Please keep her and this situation in prayers. Thank you.

Metastatic ovarian cancer is probably irreversible using today's medicine, natural or other, but perhaps she might find needed comfort by staying at the lifestyle center for a few weeks. Saving Myrtle's life by the use of natural remedies would be a long-shot indeed. Maybe there are some success stories from the Times of Refreshing Lifestyle Center, curing cancer by the use of their natural remedies.

There are success stories, though I don't know if for that type of cancer. They have been able to reverse stage 4 cancer through a juice fast detox, though. I think, anyway, if it's the same as I'm thinking of.

Even if you could only give a few dollars, it would really encourage them. Thank you for your prayers. Please keep praying.

As has been done here, it is well to pray for this woman.  God loves her and wants the best for her.  There is much that we can pray for in this situation.

But, we may need to remember that it might be well to pray that God will help her not to neglect the means that he has provided for her today.  Traditional medical care is a part of God's intervention in our lives today to help make them better.  Yes, it is imperfect and far less than what God would want for us.  But, that is a part of our human condition in this sinful world.  We will never reach the fullness of God's ideal until we transition to the eternal life that God has planned for us in the future.  In this life, we have to settle for 2nd best.

I come from a perspective of personally  seeing a woman die because she had rejected traditional medical care of cancer and placed her faith in non-traditional medical care.  I have had to deal with the emotional impact upon medical staff who had to watch her die when they knew that she could have lived.

I have told this story before, of the captain of a United Airlines Jet on a non-stop between Los Angeles and Chicago who made an emergency landing in Denver so that this woman could be transported to the hospital where I worked, due to the immediate medical care that she needed.

She was returning to Chicago after visiting a non-traditional clinic in Mexico, where she had been receiving care for several years.

Cancer is not a unitary disease.  Rather it is a whole subset of diseases which may have different etiologies and require different treatments.  Those treatments generally fall into surgery, radiation and chemical.  All may, in addition, require life-style changes.  I have read where 100, 120, 200, and more separate cancer diseases may be listed.  This will depend in part, I suppose, as to how one defines the boundaries of the disease.

For more information, one may go to:   http://www.cancer.gov/types

One important issue that one faces is to define what is meant by saying that one has been cured of a cancer.  This is due in part to the fact that many cancers will have periods of time in which remission occurs.  IOW, active symptoms of the disease are not evident.  But, a lack of active symptoms is not ipso facto evidence of a cancer cure, due to the fact that it may simply be in remission.

In the treatment of a cancer, cure is often thought of as the 5-year survival rate.  IOW, is one is alive at the 5-year mark, without active symptoms of the cancer, the treatment is considered successful.  This is not the same as saying that the cancer is completely gone and there is a cure as we often think about it.

It is this aspect of cancer that provides the basis for statements that a non-traditional treatment of cancer has resulted in a cure.  The cancer simply may be in remission, with no evident symptoms.  So, one may say that they have been symptom free, for two years, due to treatment Y, and therefore cured.  Sorry.  They may not be cured.

Due to the many different types of cancer.  Treatment with chemicals is typically individualized.  The physician tests the reaction of the patient to both the specific medicine and the dosage.  There is no "one size fits all," treatment.

As to current treatment for cancer treatment, genetic testing is a growing area of learning.

The skepticism and hopeless and discouraging explanations are not needed and not appreciated (and is really in reality unkind and horrible, even if you meant well) and will not be forwarded to the person suffering nor the person nor people who are trying to help, though I did mention that a reason why some are not donating is because they do not believe that natural remedies will work, or that God will not heal, or whatever it was that I said (not exact, I think, and I think I mentioned other reasons, too).

But, continued prayers are needed. Thank you.

It might be better to just thank interested responders for their input and stay friends rather than to demonize them.

A little skepticism of self-supporting health ministries and a better understanding of Myrtle's medical crisis will never hurt anyone. That the Times of Refreshing Life Style Center would demand $4000 cash up front or else no treatments to save Myrtle's life wakes up my skepticism. The Center would just let her die if she doesn't have the money. How caring. Of course, if Christ were present, he would touch and heal her at no cost if she believed that he could heal her.

The Center doesn't have a cure for metastatic ovarian cancer. They just want the money.

There Myrtle will received(sic) care stategically(sic) to help her survive this terminating(sic) condition.

The con of false hope helps with that.

Myrtle has apparently lived a life of doing good for others, which is what the Kingdom of YHVH is all about. I hope that I can say the same before it's my time to die.

According to the records of the website, in the past 18 days, eight (8) people have contributed a total sum of $600, out of the $4,000 requested.
