Unfortunately, residents of these fine houses must deal with liars, thieves, and other disreputable characters who tend to congregate nearby. Free rent, free travel, and other amazing taxpayer-paid perks may outweigh the disadvantages of the latter, though. Of course, most residents of this type of housing must lie, cheat, and steal their way into public office themselves, so the bad neighborhood shouldn't bother them at all.
