Members phkrause Posted January 2, 2016 Members Posted January 2, 2016 It was great, thanks for sharing. I can't believe that I actually was able to seat and listen to this for almost 2 hours. I think its because it was really fascinating, and also stuff I can remember learning while a young SDA, back in the Bronx and Manhattan Jewish/SDA churches, with Pastor J M Hoffman. He used to do D&R evangelistic meetings for the Jewish people of NYC. Of course it wasn't in as much detail as what Walter Veith has put together here. Quote phkrause When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice; But when a wicked man rules, the people groan. Proverbs 29;2

I liked it too....I didn't hear legalism...I didn't hear self-righteousness, I heard the question where have all the Protestants gone? It's a bit unsettling that most Protestants denominations do not know what they are protesting! I also liked that this guy use to be Roman Catholic. BTW, my favorite SDA Pastor, Jack Sequeira, also came from the RCC. It seems ex-Roman Catholics make the best Protestants. I believe that's why Ellen White stated that the majority of God's people are in the RCC. I have a feeling their going to out preach us when the times comes.... Also, according to Ellen, most of RC are going to come out, while a lot of SDA are going to join Roman. Crazy, but it makes sense to me. I'll shut up now. Quote
Robert Posted January 4, 2016 Author Posted January 4, 2016 Quote Rev 14:6 Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth—to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people— 7 saying with a loud voice, “Fear God and give glory to Him, for the hour of His judgment has come; and worship Him who made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water.” Really, if you look at the three angels message, the focus is not on primarily on Babylon, but on "the everlasting gospel". That doesn't mean God's people shouldn't warn of "the man of sin", but just because they know the prophecies doesn't guarantee them salvation. We are saved because we know the gospel and are resting in Christ's finished work plus nothing! Quote 8 And another angel followed, saying, “Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she has made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication.” Babylon's problem is that she has rejected "the everlasting gospel" and therefore she has apostatized. Quote 9 Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, 10 he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. Those who refuse the everlasting gospel remain under the curse, which is God abandonment. Quote
